Let me begin with an introduction.đI'm interacting on IF actively after about 6 years, with a new ID, and wow, it's all so refreshing! And I'm glad that it's because of Shivika. Otherwise, the lazy person that I'm, I'd have stayed in my happy place with no typing and making posts, and just comfortably reading all your amazing POVs. But I couldn't stop myself anymore, at-least not after the amazing episode which we all got yesterday. That episode, the work done on that episode, the people behind that episode, everything deserves an ovation, and I WANT to thank the CVs for it!
THANK YOU CVsâď¸
Thank you for introducing a novel-like couple on the Indian TV. It is a pleasure to watch Shivika. I love how they have been characterised and how they still retain their traits even after 280+ episodes. It is beautiful to watch them grow. I agree that there have been many ups and down in how they behave, but they still remain the same- they are still Annika and SSO. Their characters are realistic, logical and relatable. Annika's not a dumb Kinsella-heroine, and SSO is not any blind-in-love hero. They are both individually unique and together exclusive! They are the only ones (as far as I know) who actually acknowledge everything- their fears, the good in them, the bad in them, and how they are both aware of each other's good and bad, and how they both accept each other even with their worst traits. Their relationship has so much depth and meaning which is very very rare in TV shows nowadays. They are truly unique and wow-worthy!I have never felt like appreciating any TV actor as much as I feel the need to applaud NaRbhi for their phenomenal performance on this show. They really deserve every praise for making Shivika, SHIVIKA. Thank you Gul and team for such a wonderful pair. Not only on-screen, but they are a delight to watch off-screen, too. Nakuul and Surbhi are amazing personalities and had it not been them and the other members of the cast, I'd have left the show long time ago. Such a lively and TRULY friendly cast; their camaraderie is awe-worthy!
I don't know about others, but I had started to feel a disconnect with Shivika for sometime now; but yesterday, were they back with a bang! I had missed them! In fact I wanted to make this post with regards to this whole week's episode.
The whole week's episodes, starting with the episode where Sahil and Annika are in Shivika's room, till the blissful Champa ride of Shivika with HHRPK's song in the background, if watched independently, is like a movie. A movie in which a married couple, with conflicts, get lost in an adventure where their true selves are out in the open, where they have fun, argue, laugh, cry, fight together, fight with each other, support each other, and just enjoy. They enjoy each other's presence, love and comfort. They understand their need for each other. They understand their lives with each other, and how beautiful and blissful that life can be. They understand that no matter what the conflict is, no matter whatever the storm that may come into their lives, and no matter what tries to threaten their relationship, THEY ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. They realised something very important at the end of the movie, that their conflicts are 2rs in front of the priceless relationship they have with each other.
I'll just copy paste my comment on another post from Yesterday.
They both opened up to each other in this adventure. Annika gave her reasons and disclosed her fears to Shivaay about digging her past. And Shivaay couldn't even bear to hear anything negative about their relationship which he treasures SO much and which is so precious to him. It shows how greatly he values what they have. He KNOWS his Annika and knows how to make her understand his POV. This whole conversation sealed that Annika and Shivaay are ONE now, they are in this together, with each other, for each other! Shivaay has complete confidence in their relationship and he shared that confidence with his better-half today. The trust they have in their relationship is as much as their trust in each other now.
Being THE SHIVAAY SINGH OBEROI, it must not be easy for him to let out his weakness out in the open, and not just in front of Annika, the police officers were an audience as well. The greatest tadibaaaz who LOVES and ADORES his brain and logic , today pointed at his head and accepted the faults in him- he accepted that he is a stuck-up!
And the end of the movie approached where their verbal acceptance of each other happens. Their decision is made. The conflict, not resolved completely, but the promise of dealing with it together, against all odds, is made. It is an optimistic end. An end which is sealed with a beautiful poetry foreshadowing their life together with each other. They hold each other's hands with faith, sincerity and assurance. They embark upon a journey, THEIR journey together!
And how can I not mention the whole scene around Champa where the hero and the heroine are back to being their own selves, like at the start of the movie- telling the audience that no matter what, these two are never going to change, ever! They will always be the tadibaaaz duo!
The last scene in the movie, watching them both on Champa, with one of the songs I love in the background, was SO SO satisfying and endearing! I can't explain in words how happy I was seeing them both so content. It truly felt like a conclusion to a beautiful movie- pulled at my heartstrings <3
Thank you CVs for letting Shivika out of the cage called OM and giving them their style of honeymoon sort of thing.
PS: I can go on and on about them, but I can't type anymore than this.đľ
