Because earlier despite of being the victim, he never managed to get any sympathy.. now people are sympathizing with him.. but then again, if he knows she's sick, then why not take her to a goddamn doctor? thik hone ki ummeed dialogue doesn't go along with what he's been doing since the start of season 2- hiring random wrestler guys to get beaten up just to see her cry.. actually none of his actions since start of S2 fall in line with what he has been saying since yesterday..
+1 Either he's super a sado-masochist that secretly enjoys Maya's crazy idiosyncrasies (if that's the case, why is he even complaining, what's the point of this show even? It's "happily ever after" phase RIGHT NOW for him after all) or it's a ridiculous plot contrivance to open avenues for Maya's healing process to take place.
Also, I'm annoyed at Maya's characterization tbh. How did she think of selling her pity party about Arjun supposedly beating her up to Vandy? She deliberately hurt her and she knows Vandy knows about it. She should have absolutely expected Arjun to confide in his mom about having not beaten her up, so how does she even expect anything at all to come out of that blatantly stupid manipulation? Why is it so hard for her to understand who Vandy has been trying to get in touch with? I shouldn't be asking these questions because I know it's always had a very weak plot but I had to rant!😆
