"Tum kisi ki dawa nahi ban sakte."
A simple, yet meaningful dialogue uttered by Maya to Arjun in the last episode. Is that not what everyone had initially expected from Arjun? Is that not the hope most viewers had from their relationship? I feel somewhere, somehow, even Jhanvi and Maya had the same expectations.

We all expected/hoped Arjun would heal Maya, get her to a better place. That's exactly why Jhanvi was very much in favour of a relationship between Arjun and Maya, it's not like she could have stopped it even if she wanted to, but Jhanvi has known Maya for the longest time, she knew what her daughter was capable and still favoured their relationship, only because she thought Arjun might do Maya some good. Everyone wanted Arjun to heal Maya, but now she herself claims he could never be anyone's medicine 😭

He would have been much happier and content if he married a sane girl. I am sorry but an average joe like him can't really be expected to heal a mentally twisted woman with criminal streaks. That's unfair to him on so many levels.

Dhristi did Arjun tell he will heal Maya. No. But Jhanvi felt after seeing certain actions of Arjun he might be able to heal her stub born daughter. Classic case was he going down those 19 floors and reaching ground unharmed. Yes Arjun went down those 19 floors for the papers he wanted. He was a risk taker.
Maya felt Arjun is her saviour when he protected her from Ashwin. Yes Arjun could physically protect her from Ashwin. But what about the emotional trauma Ashwin inflicted. No one but herself can protect Maya from those wounds.

It was Mayas and Jhanvi's perception Arjun would heal her because of what they saw of Arjun. But Arjun cannot be written off. Yes that guy did go down 19 floors, so if he decides he has to cure Maya, I feel he can do it.

If Arjun can heal Maya, then all mental hospitals, asylums, psychiatrists, etc should shut shop.
Loved ones of mentally ill patients, please heal your beloved.😳

Jhanvi had thought that marriage would change things for Maya...she pretty much said exactly the same thing to her attacker, which makes me believe that Maya attacked Jhanvi n caused her accident...

.I wonder what excuses/praises etc will come up for Maya once/if that gets proven 😉

I don't get why people had so many expectations from Arjun to heal Maya. His character had never been shown to have any depth. All he cared about was living a lavish lifestyle and earning loads of money. He was what we call a superficial person. Even when he 'fell in love' with Maya, it was too fast. I believe he was merely attracted by the fact that Maya is everything he ever dreamed of. He may have done all kinds of stunts for Maya(climbing building, fighting ashwin, etc.) but he lacks emotional depth and maturity to handle people like Maya.
Only in season2 have I seen some kind of an improvement in his character.
Also, love cannot heal everything. Mental disorders patients such as Maya need professional help. And I believe even if Arjun had insisted Maya to consult a psychiatrist, she wouldn't have agreed to do such a thing. But the cvs should have shown at least one such scene where Arjun is trying to convince Maya to visit a psychiatrist. Other than that, I find Arjun's behavior to be true to his character when it comes to Maya.

That's true, he would have certainly been happier had he chosen someone else as his life-partner, but he chose Maya, be it oblivious to her insane love or for materialistic selfish reasons, it was his call.

You're correct, Arjun never said he would heal Maya. But regardless I think that was expected from him. If I'm not mistaken it was 15 floors, but that is a great example to portray that he can do anything if he has the determination to.

A bit too sarcastic, aren't we? Not all mentally ill people have the privilege of having someone who loves them, hence the mental hospitals, asylums and psychiatrists. There are some cases wherein love can't be the only medicine a person needs either.

I think there's a very high possibility it may have been Maya who pushed Jhanvi. I think you're getting it wrong, I am, in no way justifying Maya's actions here.
