Anushka was awesome but Ramya had much more of meaty role IMO. The whole set up of the movie with the baby in the river would not have worked if it was not handled properly.

performance wise ramya no doubt.so u like sivagami character r better than devasena,if so y?

Because she was just better in setting up the story, more regal and played shades well IMO .The entry just before the Mamatala talli song set up the story nicely for me including the why of the most famous question about the movie. Most of all the waterfall in scene. If that had not been successful the whole story would have flopped IMO.
