Many in the forum are confused...as to did Ashwin really torture Maya, or did Maya manipulate that too?
IMHO,, Ashwin did torture an innocent 9 year old...inhuman physical trauma to a little child who was his own flesh & blood, for his materialistic goals...Jhanvi turned out to be a terrible & weak mother who was unable to protect the child she had given birth to...

Maya was tortured & rendered helpless to the extent that she had to gather courage to face her brutal reality & she discovered a new method...of physical violence...hence, she attacked Ashwin as a 9 year old, & rendered him crippled for the rest of his life.

But the residual effects of this terrible physical & emotional trauma to a 9 year old left permanent emotional scars on her little mind, though her physical wounds healed. Those emotional scars turned into terrible poisonous ulcers inside her brain which have turned her into the criminal that she is today.

Maya is suffering from a deadly mental disorder which make her a threat to society.

Ashwin's daughter has transformed into his successor, & needs medical help asap.

While I empathise with Maya's childhood trauma, her crimes her inexcusable...
Iwould like either of these 2 endings:

1)Maya getting medical help & then serving term for her crimes...maybe life imprisonment...after release, Maya starts an international ngo for abused children
2)Maya finally letting go of Arjun, after realizing her follies, n maybe ending her life finally, realising the enormity of her crimes...

coz, I'm convinced Maya is the murderer in the show...whether law or she herself punishes her, remains to be seen...

I am also open to one more ending if it is executed perfectly i.e. Maya going scot free a la Amy Dunne of Gone Girl. And Arjun forever trapped with Maya. But this actually seems less likely because of Saanjh and her importance in the seventh vow.

Yep she's been tortured. If that proves to be a facade, deliberately made up by Maya to victimize herself, then it will be a deadly mistake on the CV's part. Ashwin was not actually even a remotely decent dad. It could be argued that the extent of the torture was not what Maya described it to be but she was ill-treated nonetheless. The fear on her face when Ashwin used to appear in front of her can't be a put-on.

Maya inherited both Jhanvi & Ashwin's genes and character traits. She's obsessively in "love" and decides to look past every other person's misery she causes just for keeping the "love" to herself. And she's also the successor of the animal-like torturing streak from the father. What a deadly combination if you think it through. Scary.

Am I the only one who thinks more murders are yet to come in the show? I for one am dead sure Samay will end up being brutally used up by her following a mysterious death. He's sickeningly crazy and an accomplice of Maya's crimes. Can't think of any other possible end for him.

Oh and Maya's end is gonna be hard-hitting. Death or life-time imprisonment in a loony bin. Or so I wish 😆

This is ur point of view and I respect it but I m also equally confused about the same. I have read that psychopath are born. It's some disorder in the brain. So it could be possible that maya is born psycho.

Exactly...Maya's childhood abuse is suggestive of her being a sociopath, though her planning n execution of crimes before a psychopath...hence, confusion persists.

Option 2 seems more like something I'd prefer to watch, but I probably wouldn't get through it without a box of tissues. I love Maya's character (yes, I still love her, and yes, I'm aware the things she has done are beyond wrong) and it would be hard for me and perhaps a lot of other people to come to terms with the fact she actually succumbed to suicide.

Suicide, in most cases, is a sign of weakness, it's a step taken when one no longer has the strength to deal with their life, such as Maya's several suicide attempts in the past. But this is different. If she were to kill herself as a punishment for her deeds, that's the only way Maya's suicide would be acceptable for me.

I hope Ashwin is still alive because this show has become so boring, when he was there the show atleast had some spark cos the actor is very talented.

Ashwin's daughter till she was abused and now, Ashwin's successor as she's transformed into an abuser herself. Oh and I thought, I'll just make this point; sociopath and psychopath aren't the same and they aren't interchangeable terms.
