For what its worth, I agree with you 100 %. Even I have a single parent in law and faced many issues( posted my story in the forum couple weeks ago) but this show makes me feel I am so lucky to have the family and husband I have. They never went as low as Ishwari and Dev did.
For me, the moment Dev disrespected his wife by asked her to leave the house, and stood by silently when his family members did the same, at the moment, he broke the sacred vows of marriage. Vows of forever bring there with his wife and being her protector.
After that point, there is no marriage and there is nothing to save. And I do not understand how CVS have tried to beat around the bush and not address this issue. Instead they have shown Sona to accept her part as equal in the breaking of the marriage.Which is absolutely not right for how they triggered the separation.
And btw, this is the same mother and brother who supported Neha on her divorce issue. Talk about double standards..but the show always has been like that.
This is first show, in which male lead cries and uses more glycerin than female lead, while she is calm and composed. He feels guilty, he cries..feels like blaming others, he cries, he feels bad for mom, he cries, feels bad for himself he cries, tomorrow if he feels bad for Sona, he will again cry. They have shown such a crybaby...rather than a MAN who can accept his mistakes and try it make up, make it right, and make sure he keeps his loved ones closed and balanced.
I feel a lot is moving and changing offscreen, and not just about Shaheers travelling. The fact that they are doing product placement means the show is at its end. Have seen that before. Also seems that Supriya ji is not happy with her role , as in her long absence.
The separation was forces, but patch up was pathetic and silly in my opinion. I know a lot of people are going ga-ga over the patchup just happy to see them together similing or hugging, but none of it made sense to me..so I left it there. They had a lot of scope for a meaningful mature story, they lost it.
I myself hate the regressiveness, and the way they have bent Sona rather than showing her strong and self respectful.
Watch Humsafar or Zindagi Gulzar Hai..pakistani shows,...such maturity and thoughful characters .
I agree, shows like these where they show women to be too accepting of the nonsense around them , should not be allowed.
