I don't think Anika is illegitimate child as she has a sister too, so chances R less , n there R already going with illegitimate track with mahivaay ( which I think will turn out lie),

coming to shivay's reaction, I think if Anika's past turn out to be worse , he may stay upset with himself for knowing something without out her permission n will remain sad for knowing something he doesn't like personally, if he doesn't get any information, his curiosity n jasoosi will continue after mahivaay track
