Knight Riders have been a part of two of the most dominant chases in this IPL. First, there was 184 for no loss against Gujarat Lions in their opening game, and today, this. They did that with Chris Lynn, they did this without him. They have missed Andre Russell, but when you have a top four in that kind of striking form, it makes it easier to cope with these losses.

"I thought at the halfway point that it was quite a good total," says Rising Pune Supergiant captain Steven Smith. "The wicket was slow, but the dew came on in the chase. The wicket just sped up and became very good to bat on. The guys were able to hit through the line comfortably. Gautam and Robin batted beautifully. Stokes was missed, he's a quality player, but the other players needed to step up. We put down a few catches and it proved costly, we need to work on our fielding. It has happened in a few games in a row and we need to change it. Not sure if it's an attitude problem. But, hopefully, we can improve on our fielding."

"I thought we are a good chasing side and we are confident chasing anything. Restricting the opposition to 180 was terrific and the credit needs to go to the bowlers", says Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir. "It's good to keep contributing, I keep saying Orange Cap does not matter if you don't have points as a team. But it is good to score runs and when you are, score as much as you can. All the spinners bowled really well. We've got a hectic schedule, we go back tonight and play on the 28th which is a 4pm game, so we wanted Coulter-Nile to remain fit."

"I've always been strong", says Robin Uthappa, Man of the Match. "I have a lot faith in what I'm doing, I'm really confident and am enjoying myself out there. It is very important to respect the momentum we have created for ourselves. Teams tend to fall off in the second half of the tournament, so it is something we spoke about. I am enjoying my keeping, I think MS has set the benchmark for Indian keepers, so i'm slowly but surely getting there. The ball was still gripping, but this wicket got better to bat on in the second innings."
