Annika finds SHivaay very upset in his room. She has an inkling that he is REALLY upset about something, and she presses him to tell. He resists, trying hard to stamp down his anxiety, but he couldn't.
He grabs and holds her tight. Like his life depended on it. Like he was scared of losing her . Like he wanted to hold on to her in case she disappeared. Or this was the last time he would get to hold her. Tears came into his eyes, and he hides it from her.
She is stunned. She asks why, but he won't tell. He asks her where she had gone, and why didn't she answer his call? His worry, his concern all was in his face. The stern disquiet was worrying her, so she quickly admitted to going to look for Mahi.
He was angry, upset that she endangered herself again. He scolds her , tells her to stop this investigating and storms off.
The next morning, Shivaay is preparing for battle with his medications..😆. Annika finds that he has the same heart medication as the one she saw in Mahi's house. Same face, Same voice, Same heart condition?
Are they twins?
She runs to get the blood stained shirt and sends it off with Khanna.
(Thank goodness she kept it secret. Can you imagine the kind of raita that will happen if anyone knew? what with Shakti secretly looking for Kamini? i have a feeling Annika will emerge the saviour, with her DNA reports after some crazy drama up ahead)
Annika comes innocently to pooja. Pinky looks excited and Shivaay looking like he was preparing for damage control.
It was a battle between mother and son, one bent on exposing Annika, and the son determined to defend her. He was trying to bolster her identity, make it look more presentable to his family, by lying. Dressing up Mr Chaturvedi's prospects so Annika wouldn't sound so pathetic in his mother's waiting ears.
Be quiet Annika, I'll handle this.
But Annika didn't let it be. She told the truth.
I have no parents. I don't know who they are.
I was adopted. I don't know my Naam , Khoon and Khandaan.
The utter shock and devastation on Shivaay's face was scary. He was completely taken aback. So much that Annika started to tremble. The sure , confident girl who picked herself up when she fell, today trembled as everyone watched her. Her voice wavered tearily, as each one of the family just stared back silently.
Mute.
They made her feel her lack of everything today. Even Dadi was silent. Everyone.
But Pinky wasn't. She was at her worst.
Even the dogs we bring into our house are checked for breeding. So how now SHIvaay? Now our Bahu knows nothing of her lineage? How?
Shakti registered some opposition but too mild to be of importance.
Shivaay, again on the spot, cancels the pooja and walks out.
Leaving Annika to face the family alone.
He finds solace in the dark, to think. A light shines in his face. Annika.
but he cuts the call.
Annika is crying in their room. Devastated that this may be it. The end. And she is not able to come to terms with it.
Was it all we had? All those moments, and things we meant to each other, were those meaningless int the face of this?
I am sorry. I am Sorry.
I cannot change this one fact about me.
I have no Naam , Khoon and Khandaan.
I had only Sahil , as family. He was my everything.
Then you came. And I forgot that I was an orphan.
I forgot.
I should have told you. I'm sorry.
She said all this in a voice message to SHivaay.
And he appears, like a dream. Smiling, reassuring.
THe way she runs into his arms, like a lost child finding her family, made me weep so much. She held on to him as he held her back, reassuringly.
(Did she conjure him up in her imagination? or did he really comeback?)
Because she left.

Shivaay drives up to Chanda's house and introduces himself.
"I've come to take Annika back"
"Tell him , Annika isn't here.." and she throws water at him at the door, angrily.
Boy she looks mighty riled up.
