Hello all! (:
This is my first topic on the forum, been a silent member for a while though. KLKAH's first episode was brilliant, imo, had great expectations from the show from the moment go but right since the next episode i.e, episode 2, it started going down the hill with a heck-load of supernatural, black magic, superstitions, age old practices etc and other elements which just ruined the show's concept for me. I expected it to be a psychological thriller but it was turning out to be some superstitions centred OTT drama and come Priyam's track (didn't believe the kid for a second, didn't like him, always suspected foul play), it took away every ounce of interest and expectations I had from the show. I still watched the episodes though, here and might have missed out on stuff in between. But of late, the show seems to have picked pace and there's a chance there might be some good story telling in there. Specifically, I quite liked the last 2-3 episodes and today's episode revealed Abhimanyu to be behind everything. So, here's what I gathered from the story so far, these would be my thoughts and my theories combined.
- Abhimanyu : I actually had hoped that Abhimanyu wouldn't turn out to be the bad guy. For some reason, I always thought what he and Geetanjali had was genuine, that the two truly loved each other and separated owing to their cruel fate. I thought the one who returned might be Abhi's twin brother or simply his twin bought by the mastermind of this web to serve a purpose. But turns out that no, Abhimanyu indeed was a player in this game as well.
Now here's the theory, a) It's a little unpalatable to me that Abhimanyu faked everything, right from his love for Geetu, to their marriage to dying, every single thing. He might have been misled into believing that Geetu was behind his accident and that she was the one who faked her love to avenge some age old dushmani between families or something. And thus, that form of betrayal caused his love to turn into hatred and he designed a plan after surviving the accident to take revenge from Geetu. b) If he really did fake it all from the moment go (that little eye conversation he had with Choti maa when he first visited the haveli supports this theory), then Kavya, Choti ma, Abhimanyu and probably more people were in this together all this while. An important detail to be known is (if I missed out on it or if it is yet to be shown) as to when exactly did Abhimanyu adopt Priyam? Before his accident, after his accident, when?
- Choti maa, Kavya, Munshiji and their aids : It's clear they all have their own personal agendas and it's all a conspiracy against the brother-sister duo. Question remains for what and why?
- Chanda, her husband and Sevakram : Evidently, they're all pawns in the game used by multiple players of the game to achieve a purpose or a result.
- Ragini and Rishabh : These two have seem to have a painful and possibly a criminal history. Going by Rishabh's character so far, it doesn't seem like he's the kind of a person who'd kill on purpose. He might have either accidentally killed Ragini or drove her to commit suicide because he's indeed a difficult person to live with.
- Ragini, Abhimanyu, Chotima, Kavya : They all are possibly related somehow, either by blood, by relations or by fate. Ragini could be Abhimanyu's sister, he must have felt that Rishabh is responsible for her sisters death and what better revenge than to target Rishabh's sister and destroy her? Choti ma could have helped Abhimanyu in his agenda because of her own personal bitter relationship with Rishabh and her entire in-laws family.
Abhimanyu, Priyam and Ragini : It's possible that Priyam is Ragini and Rishabh's child. She might have died and left behind her only son entrusted in Abhi's care and Priyam wasn't ever an orphan but actually Abhi's nephew. Rishabh seems unaware of the possibility that he and Ragini ever had a child. So, Priyam must have been born after Rishabh and Ragini got separated for whatever reasons and in whatever ways. She could as well be alive and never died but Rishabh was made to believe it so that he carried this burden of guilt inside him always.
Rishabh and Geetu : Rishabh may have his own share of dark secrets and might have committed some criminal offences in the past but going by the story till now, if he did, it might have been accidental and not planned/intended. It's basically a HUGE conspiracy against the brother-sister to get rid of them permanently or just reduce them to a state where they'd be nothing but live-in-flesh corpses. Motive? Either money or each player getting their own revenge for a personal agenda (or vendetta) of their own.
Rishabh, Geetu and Rajveer : The only three characters worth some trust and benefit of doubt in the story.
Mastermind : Something tells me (my intuition, obviously 😆) that Abhimanyu isn't the mastermind of this game. There's someone else behind it all and he/she is the true mastermind.
If it's going ahead towards a Abhimany (Choti ma, Kavya, Ragini & their aids) vs Geetu (Rishabh, Rajveer, Geetu's friend & their aids)(which in all likelihood it is given Geetu's declaration at the end of today's episode), then I hope Geetu wins and QUITE intelligently, impressively and kickass-ly at that. *GO GEETU!*
End games : I was confused all this while because the show was always marketed as Abhi and Geetu's lovestory, SP's montage is still them both, Rajveer always seemed a positive third angle character. But if today's episode is anything to go by, I don't see why would Geetu ever want to go back to Abhi (unless it's theory a, that leaves some scope of redemption for Abhi's character and a possible Abhi-Geetu reunion) and thus, Rajveer and Geetu would end up together by the end of this show.
PS Does anyone have an idea as to how many more episodes are left for this show to end?
