And omg the first siggie tut is really simple, you cunning woman😈 it's such a bad habit of mine I always download so many textures but use very few of them. if it's a chinese drama.. then i won't be watching.. i wanted to watch LuHan's one.. but Chinese dramas are by default fantasy and supernatural.. so not able to bear those plots.. plus, most of the times actress is only there for beauty and no acting talent.. wondering who will be more beautiful in LuHan's case..😆

and that Suho and D.O. one is so cute...this remind me of an post...a fan posted some of the edited pic and wrote that " this fandom needs to stay away from the editing app "...in one of those edits someone marged this D.O. pic with Pampars...😆...and in another one..someone marged this Suho pic with a washing soap add..lol...then Chanyeol pic marged with Milo...🤣...and some other...😆..I posted this pic in my FB...😉🤣

lol.. i saw that post.. i was laughing so hard.. esp D.O. ones.. it actually looked really funny.. his expressions were apt to the advertisement..this fandom is daebak!

Hey Ri,

in sehun sig tutorial, i couldn't find the pic i used in right so i used an another pic for same tutorial.. hope that's okay..

pix that i have used for tutorial:

Step 1: i used the same dimensions as before- new file 550x450

since both the images are in high resolution. i resize them.

constraints ratio- checked. height- 450

paste the first picture and place in left most area

blending more- lighten. i keep all images in lighten mode and use layer masks to erase unwanted part

Step 2: take same image with height 300 and paste it below the already pasted layer

drag it to bottom left. cmd+shift+u to make the image black and white

Step 3: take image 2 with height 450 and paste on top and drag to right corner

Step 4: take image 2 with height 300 and paste below the previous layer.. drag it to top-center.

cmd+shift+u to make the image black and white

step 5: now, since all images are in lighten mode.. layers are overlapping.. so i select the image pasted in step 3 and select the white part of shirt which is being overlapped with black and white one..

i select layer of step 4 and erase the unwanted part from layer masks which makes the shoulder and shirt appear properly..

step 6: now, the next step is up to you.. last time i used the right most pic for shades (it had rough background and light shades).. this time i used a bokeh effect. image downloaded from here..

i copy paste this file without resizing it.. and drag it to the top..

^(plz ignore the layer mask in snapshot)

step 7: i erase the unwanted part of bokeh effect and blue it slightly.. depends on you..

in the current sig, background is very plain..

so i used one more pic of Sehun for background.. which had small bokeh in background (shared the image above)

again remove the unwanted part and blue acc to your preference.

step 8: last time, my images were scans and not hd images.. so whichever coloring i do was waste.. so i simply used "selective color" feature and changed extreme yellow color to red..

this time i used a psd file for coloring..

because of one effect in my psd file my black and white images had turned green.. so i had to disable that particular layer.

step 9: merge the (only) pictures layers. you can include background picture as well.. up to you. i did not include it while merging other layers. set the blending mode lighten

go to filter>oil painting effect

fade the effect by 44%

apply sharpen effect and fade it by 41%

step 10: rest is text..

final outcome:

May I ask for the second Tut, if you put the text in lighten/screen or it's normal blending mode? And only drop shadow or outer glow too?

This one looks easy too. So black BG is the key for these nice blending. But what about when you working on a Indian telly caps, for eg those rikara/dbo scene you posted in CG? How do you blend them?

i haven't posted tuts before so i don't know how detailed or good were those..

^ here. yes! i changed the blending mode of text..

if the background is a bit dark then i use "overlay" mode for text.. "softlight" also works well..

for dark backgrounds, screen and lighten mode make no changes..

if the background is light then i either use "color burn", or "normal" mode with low opacity.

if they still don't stand out then i use "drop shadow" but "1-0-1" format. (i'll share a snapshot with you.)

^here, all texts and brush strokes are in normal mode.

i don't prefer text brush strokes to be dark.. so use the ones which are light shaded or decreases the "fill" value.

to make them more lighter.. i copy the stroke layer and make it white.. just like in the "baby don't cry" sig... and here rather than using drop shadow because that stands out the text, i used outer glow-

format: mode- normal, change soft to precise-"2-0-2"- range: lowest

if these steps are not helpful..please let me know.. i can share a text tutorial with you..

yes. HD quality pix and dark background are really helpful for blending or vice-versa..you must have noticed that images blended automatically because dark background of images was merged with main background as soon as we changed the mode to lighten.

i think i do have some sample sigs for light backgrounds..

yep! it took me a lot of time to finally understand to blend those tv stills.. sure.. will share the steps for them..

tutorial on DBO sigs.

Ri, this tutorial is not on the already posted sigs but creating a new one in same styles.

the best part of tv stills is that they all have similar background and lightening effects. so we are not looking for a specific texture then no texture background is required at all.

(sorry for writing in too many details and from basics.. i know you are already into sig making still i can't help but write in detail..)

step 1: start with a new image.. you can select the dimension as per your choice. i take the std size used on I-F 550X300

fill [G] it with white color.. it depends.. if your images have blue, red or similar colors then fill black or dark grey color in background layer.

step 2: usually when i work with telly stills i select the coloring first.. sometimes color effects help in blending.. so i used a psd file which usually works for me DBO stills. it's a customized one by combining several deviantart and my effects.

i paste the first figure.. to check if coloring is good enough to proceed further.

i am keeping the dimension (width varies accordingly- height is 180)

since backgrounds are light I am not keeping them in lighten mode but normal. and using layer masks for each figure.

Step 3: paste the picture P1 (the one in bottom-right), and second picture P2 beside P1

now, P1 and P2 will overlap.

I disable the P2 for a while and select the portion of P1 which i need to keep in still..

since there are lots of different colors.. not all required area is selected.. so i just select the one which is enough to create a boundary..

step4: i enable P2 and erase the selected portion from layer mask. (right now, the eraser is soft and 0 hardness)

now, i increase the hardness by 100% and remove all unwanted part of P2 which covers main still of P1
step 5: one good thing about layer masks is that, if some portion is erased accidentally, that can be covered back..

here i use brush with small size and maximum hardness on layer mask of P2 to recover the part which is either lightened or erased accidentally..

^ now, you can see that images are blended nicely and without the need of texture. here i did one mistake while taking snapshot.. i didn't erase the part of P2 which is appearing behind ChulKara in P1..

i erased in later snapshots. and forgot to disable Om's pic in top..

step 6: now, i follow the same steps with other picture P3 (bottom-left)
i disable P3 and select the part of P2 which should be there in sig- Om's jacket and arm..for example..

then i enable P3 and erase same area from it's layer mask

to blend them more nicely, i erase just a tiny area of P2 behind om's shoulder...

^ if you want to add only two pix in top.. then you can add them on separate corners..

^ just erase the unwanted part of any one figure.. and keep that one on top.. here i erased it from Chulbul's image (top-right corner)

Part 2:

if you want to add more than two images in top.. and make it more blended.. you can follow the same steps as followed for bottom part.. i am sharing quick snapshots of each blending..
^ RI, let me know if you don't know how to select multiple areas on multiple images/layers

now, if you want to remove the horizontal line which is coming in center-middle.. then you can select layer mask of each pic placed in top are and erase it.. brush size 20-30 hardness 0.. it will look something like below image...

^ here i have erased the area of P2 appearing over P1 (behind ChulKara)

after this i added one more figure using same style to avoid that top-bottom partition look..
later, you can play with the coloring.. if you want to change it.. i did change it for final version.

then i apply oil paint effect (after merging only image layers) with same numbers as before.

one more tip.. i always keep a copy of layered images (disabled) for future use.. or accidentally ruined images..
fade the oil paint effect by ~50%
sharpen the image and fade it by ~40-50%

that's it!

if you are using a brush stroke beneath text.. then i would recommend you to pick the original color from the images. i disabled the coloring for a moment and picked the blue background color from Om's picture..

then applied brush stroke on a new layer and kept it below coloring.. so same shade will appear on the stroke.. but i don't keep text below coloring layers..

i also added one more layer and created the white border of sig

this was the final outcome.. i didn't do the text part tho.
