Shivvay is always true to himself and what he believes in no matter if people agree with him or not. His decisions are his own and the consequences of making those decisions are also, always, HIS OWN. He loves and respects Om but even Om cannot influence his decisions when he has made up his mind about anything.
One thing I have learned about Shivvay is that he means what he says when he says anything at all. He is not a man of many words and hence when he does say them he measures, weighs and ruminates on the thoughts before he actually spits it out.
*** "Tum Meri Family Ho" - Holi day. Family as we know means everything to Shivvay and he is even willing to die, kill or become a negative man to protect that Family Izzat.
** "Tumhari Izzat Aab Meri Hai" - Announcing and Presentation of Mrs. Annika Shivvay Singh Oberoi. How can his Izzat that be dragged through 'Kichad' while he stands and watches siliently.
He may not always be right , example judging Annika by her lack of NKK in the past, but if you truly think about it he was not wrong even then. People have termed him as a judgemental and proud man but I see him as a man who basis his decisions on cold hard facts - no emotions attached.
His opinion about her, then, was based on the experience of people from Annika's world and to be honest it may not have been personally because of who she was. The obsession with showing her 'down' came with the many challenges she threw at him and if you look at Shivvay he comes from a Family and background where the woman in his house rarely do that with their menfolk. Even Pinky backs down when Shakti gets really mad.
This Shivvay NOW has learned to understand and grown to admire and love the woman he is married to. His NKK may not disappear altogether because like he says, "Annika ki Baath Alag hai. Jo uske Saath Hota Hai Woh Aur Kisse Key Saath Nahi Hota." Even back then Annika was in a class, standard and breed apart from all others. He measures, weighs and places her on a shelf where Om, Ru and Prinku reside.
So will he support Annika against the NKK ideology - YES!! But only because it is Annika not anyone else. 'Usski Baath Alag hai"!!!
Will NKK completely disappear - NO!!! because that is what he basis his long standing beliefs about people on. His NKK may mold and adapt to the new facts placed before him because he is a man who deal with facts, logic and common sense. Common sense dictates that just because Annika is the way she is does not apply to all people from Annika's world.
He will not support her only because he loves her because that would be wrong to her and to him. It would be untrue to them both. He will support her because the facts prove her worthy to be above NKK.
Besides his vanity will surface as well - This is after all 'Shivvay Singh Oberoi's' wife who is likened to a Demi Goddess not a mere mortal...lol
