I'm on "vanvaas" because of exams on my main fangirling platform aka Twitter but I JUST COULDN'T HELP IT.
THE NEW SPOILER PICTURES AND YESTERDAY'S CHULKARA SCENE. I'M LITERALLY CRYING THIS IS SO MUCH OF WHAT I WANTED FOR OM.
Granted Gaurika is extremely different from what a lot of us imagined, but THE DEVELOPMENT/FOUNDATION THEY HAVE IS BEAUTIFUL.
Originally (tbh) I was quite skeptical about the whole make Gauri a boy/Chulkara thing BUT, now I really value it because it gives Gaurika's relationship as a couple a SOLID dimension of friendship which let's be honest is MAJORLY lacking in so many couples. It makes so much more sense to have Om's trust won over first, for him to first start relying on someone as a confident and friend (like his brothers) before he can even think about falling in love.
Om is a hard character to justify a romantic track for, especially if you're establishing it between him and an outsider, which is why making Gauri into Chulbul and this whole formation of a friendship is so satisfying now and makes so much more sense!
The whole Chulbul truth coming out will no doubt be a blow to this "trust" Om had for Chulbul (though tbh it's homeboy's fault for being so thickheaded about the Kaali Thakur-Gauri thing, uloo ka patha, quite literally xD) but even then when he's busy being a sadu about her "lie" he won't be able to deny what their friendship meant to him.
And of course when shit gets sorted out and Gauri as Gauri Kumari Ssarma in totality starts interacting with Om, he'll find love alongside a deep friendship in the Chulbul that lives inside Gauri.
At this point I don't even know what I'm saying anymore but basically I was really bummed out about DBO being off track and disappointing a few days ago with the underutlization of ShreNal's chemistry and OTT use of 4Lion's new favorite villain (lomdi) but it makes more sense now to me as an Om fan and I'M JUST REALLY HYPE BECAUSE THAT CHULKARA SCENE YESTERDAY WAS EVERYTHING. THE AESTHETIC + MY SHIP <333
Also THE SPOILER PICTURES HAVE ME HYPEEE. I hope this brings some positivity to the fandom xD
