Serene or sinister?

An aura of unease surrounds this Uma Shankar. Who is he? Satan or Saint? Zealot or an old soul? His poker face does not reveal much except when he catches glimpses of Kanak drenched in turmeric. She evokes something in his otherwise unflappable mind. So does her elusive sandalwood scent. He with his Ayurvedic concoctions and she with her chandan ka mehek do make for an aromatic couple However, one can't help but feel sorry for Kanak who was about to fly away into even more of a modern world with a seemingly nice guy like Mayank to live happily ever after. Would she get trapped inside a rigid, patriarchal, orthodox setup that might threaten her lovable free spirit? This Uma Shankar is no Suraj (His treatment of Payal's situation runs chills down one's spine) but I suspect that Kanak is. She would be the sun that might dispell that hint of darkness in the confines of this guy's thought processes.(On the lighter side, even my hubby peeked and asked, Who is he? Salman Khan's brother? 😆 Often Kurta less he is more like Salman's alter ego from centuries ago!)

i agree with all your pts especially your title. Serene or Sinister and i have to say both he can be a saint and he can be satan as well which i find just captivating.

i think even the way Avinesh looks is kind of perfect certain quiet angelic looking and then his face can be harsher, darker and he looks sinister. he is not a pretty boy. i think when i read spoilers that he would force kanak to get married to him i thought it was impossible. with his godly ways i could not imagine him forcing any1 to do anything against their will. and then payal came the change in him when he thinks he is on the right path he showed he had no problem forcing something directly or indirectly to do what he wants.

suraj was a transparent doll but Uma what u see is not what u get. i like that the 2 are different. bt it reminds to he seen how he helps Kanak to get bhabho's love.

Saint or Satan.. mind you he appears credible.. both good and bad reside within us side by side.On a lighter note, the reference to Bajrangi Bhaijaan.. SK.. for a semi clad Uma..
