Omkara has gone blind

i watched IB on and off ( I don't need to explain why 😆 ) but the little scenes of Omkara that I saw with his dad, I always thought that he judged both Tej and Swetlana equally. but watching how he is reacting to Gauri makes me wonder after the trauma of seeing his mom burning herself and then getting engaged to swety he is gone blind. Coz I really don't know whether the trauma, drama went to his heart, brain or his eyes😆. coz his reaction to Gauri, the other woman is just strange, his hatred of Gauri makes no sense to me.

the old Omkara was harsh on Tej he thought that his old man his thoughts, his morals, his whole attitude was disgusting. I am not sure but since there was hardly any scenes of swety before I don't think he held her solely responsible for his marriage being broken up.

But this new Omkara he puts the blame solely on Gauri, never mind the fact that she is younger than the Thakur, he has not seen her doing anything really besides either smash his car or be playful. so I don't get why he thinks she is solely responsible and he acts as if the Thakur is his best friend who he has known for years and knows so well and the only way he could marry another woman forsaking his wife is if he is conned.

what makes Omkara think that the Thakur is a damsel in distress lol.


but i do like one thing I think we now going to the core of Omkara the character, we have seen on the main show how judgmental and harsh he could be but this judgementalness was sugar coated in sugary poetry. But since we at his core I think even more than his mom I think he loved Tej the most. at his core his reaction to the other woman shows he holds them more responsible then his dads behavior.

I think we all are brought up or even subconsciously take our parents to be god, to be perfect who will always put our needs 1st. But as children when we realise that our parents are flawed humans, who have needs and aspirations that don't include us we become like shattered glass that can never be put back together. one truly becomes half a soul, one becomes aimless, arrogant and there are instances when because one does not have that divide btw a parent and child where the parent is superior to the child, I think the child becomes arrogant in thinking that they are always right. I so hope that Omkara's drug use is once again dealt with in the show and we are given a background to it. Honestly IB with their 2 min scenes of Omkara I could not watch it. so hoping we get a proper background story for him where his break down is linked to realizing what sort of person Tej really is.

but back to him being semi blind at the moment and only seeing want he wants to and somehow thinking that the Thakur is perfect, he needs to stop thinking of the Thakur as his dad, he got his own dad. I wouldn't mind the Thakur being my sugar daddy coz he is so hot 😆. if Om thinks Gauri is slimy then Thakur is equally slimy why is he holding her more responsible then him. and the whole Guari being like Swety nonsense, i think Gul should have made her modern for him to react that way.

I will differ from you here. I don't think Om has gone blind infact I feel he was affected by gauri in some way.
As from beginning of show I have always noticed he get angry on people whom he cares or love or from whom he don't expect something like that or bond a little bit of trust bond. He doesn't care to preach outsiders whom he has no relation.
He was always angry or rude with his father but never cared to lecture Svetlana till she directly mess with him because he somewhere loved his dad and wanted him to amend his ways.
He get angry with shivaye, Ridhimma and Ishana whom he trusted so him getting angry with Gauri means she affected him and he sort of trusted her to be good and not do something like this but when he saw her being the second woman made him more angry on her. KT is just an leecher outsider for whom he doesn't care so he don't even like to talk about him or judge him.

I totally agree u.. In case of gauri too I felt om doesn't care.. But its their destiny that are bringing them together.. And somewhere still I felt om is irritated more than being affected with gauri.. And as u said he doesn't care for those who is not his friend or family, or some known person. Same with KT. he recently got a shock from his parents relationship, here also same thing happening in front of him, it is not easy to judge positively when he is getting fooled everytime by wrong moment of viewing things(as cvs are showing in case of his clash with gauri).. U can't blame om fully for saying harsh word to gauri, bcz every wrong time he has watched gauri, naturally negetive thought is created in his mind abt her.

Actually it's because om is thinking about kaalis wife as his mother and gauri as svetlana...

His mother is suffering bcoz of it so he compare it like that... You see when you suffer at present same situation and see a same situation but the role is reverse still the first thing comes the way like I'm.is thinking bcoz he has seen only one side... And he can't see other bcoz were not able to bcoz jhanvis incident is fresh... He is stubborn in this way...
