I like Aru and Mukhi because their story is unique compared to others. It's not clich like falling on each other or tripping and catching.
The story simply seems to focus on a modern and open minded villager and a city girl with high hopes. In a sense, it's showing a real life story that can happen to anyone.
Aru knows how to stand up for what's right and she respects her elders even when they insult her. Mukhi is experienced about society and does what he feels is the best decision for others. Both of them are selfless when need comes and are not those bhole-bechare types.
The biggest thing is that they seem to be comfortable around each other which makes their relationship a whole lot more interesting.

I like, sorry, love Mukhi's character coz he is a mature, sensible and grounded person. He practically owns the village but doesn't have any airs. He is a much needed departure from the typical angry/rich/snobbish male leads of hindi tv series. Mukhi, despite of coming from a village and not being very educated, has a modern outlook towards life and women. His thoughts are very open minded yet he doesn't force people to follow/bend as per his thoughts. Eijaz had made Mukhi's character super endearing.

I like Aru coz she is not your typical damsel in distress. She doesn't sir around crying. She is energetic, takes charge and is mature in her own way. She works to achieve her dream. She is not some over the top, mahaan female lead. She knows when to speak and when not to - esp while confronting her kaki.

Together Mukhi and Aru are really well written characters. Their story is quite diff. It's refreshing to watch the pair interact.
