Is Kajol a poor excuse for a commercial actress?

😕 I am beginning to see what she is about. She is so arrogant. She has a fallout with Karan. This guy made your career. Without him and SRK, you are nothing. Isn't she a poor excuse for a commercial actress? I hope her next movie flops. 🥱

Kajol is arrogant. Yes she fought with Karan. But that will NEVER take away from the fact she is one of the most ICONIC, REVERED, AWARDED, ACCLAIMED "commercial" actresses of ALL-TIME.

Karan made her top actress. 😲

Karan could not make himself ever top, poor bottom, how will he make Kajol top.

Haan but thats also the time when she was planning her retirement for her patidev so its not like it meant anything to her. If anything DDLJ made her career which means YRF made her career not Kjo.

I don't know how much people know about this, but Karan Johar is the biggest product of nepotism in Bollywood.

He was mentored by Aditya Chopra. His first movie - KKHH - almost everyone (SRK, Kajol, and Salman) did it because they knew/loved him personally. SRK wanted him to do a movie. Kajol rejected a certain movie because she and KJo were tight from DDLJ days, and Salman did it because he was Yash Johar's son.

Yeah.

So, while he gave Kajol two huge Hits of her career, Kajol was already big by the time she did KKHH. The 90s was different to this era. There were many actresses almost in a tussle from Sri Devi and Madz in the early - mid 90s to Karishma, Manisha, and Kajol in the mid 90s, and finally to Kajol and Karishma in the late 90s.

Actresses almost always fluctuated as opposed to how it is today, with a few dominating the sphere.

It was Kajol who made Kjo along with SRK, not the other way round. SRK-Kajol pairing was already a hit when they worked in KKHH due to DDLJ. Kjo was a debutante at that time while Kajol was a star. KKHH worked big time coz of SRK-Kajol chemistry and not the stupid storyline.
