I am not fan of any of the leads or Jodis. I just watch it for storyline and concept. I do think that Ankita is a better actress but Meghana character completely outshines Naina.

When Naina found out that SandHYA is the enemy of karan, she chose to stay quiet and not do anything about it which I found shocking. Even when she comforted SandHYA about color incident and SanDHYa shouted at her she got scared. She also saw NIRMALA got insulted by NK but she chose to stay quiet. Although she did convince her to go to office but she chose to not do anything once NK yelled at NIRMALA.

I agree Naina has patience but she is coming out as a weak person. In a show like Swabhimaan this matters. Because this show is giving a very crucial message. Hence both the leads should be strong.

On the other hand, Meghana IS impulsive but she is strong enough to stand for her and her love ones right. She speaks up and fight for people. She is a career oriented woman who loves her family but also her dreams. Honestly, I am inspired by her as a girl. She makes me proud. I think we need more leads like her who are strong headed.

I get how Naina is concern about Karan which is good but I hope she will go back to college, get a degree and will work.

Hello!

I have a slightly different view on this. I think Naina is someone who bides her time. When she first found out about the colours, she went and confronted Sandhya which backfired. She wasn't scared after that. She believed that the medicines were actually expired but she rightly considered that nobody would believe her. If she had reacted in the soup incident, the same thing would have happened. Family would either need proof, which she didn't have, or need to trust her word enough, which they will not over Sandhya right now. So biding time to understand what is happening and then doing something is a smart move. I think she did the same with Nirmala. She tried, it didn't work, she will try again with something else. I think she wants Karan to develop some confidence in himself and some trust in her so that they will better be able to deal with any revelation that happens. Same with Nirmala. In the meantime, she is careful that Sandhya doesn't harm Karan.

While I do agree that Naina can be naive and trustful, she will learn to be forceful in time. Its not inherent in her nature, being the younger sibling in her sister's shadow always. That is a journey she is on. But I do not think that makes her come across as weak. It takes great strength to be the way she is with Karan and do what she is doing. So they are showing her strong. She will learn whatever she has to slowly. And I don't think comparing situations with Meghna is accurate because they were in different circumstances.

Also, she hasn't given up her studies or carrer. She already has a degree from IIT and the reason she is shown at home is because she is preparing for the CAT, the IIM Entrance Exam. Hence she is not doing a job but studying. At least, thats what they showed.

All this is just my view. No offence meant to anyone! :)

Meghna had an advantage over Naina - She has a husband who already loves her. Naina needs to build up the relationship. In a new household, unwanted by the man she is married to, I think Naina is doing well. She is trusting but she is alert. Meghna has seen Sandhya's spite but Naina has seen her wickedness and so her battle is different.

Overall I think the sisters are written in a way to complement each other's strengths and deficiencies. Naina's patience balances out Meghna's impulsiveness and Meghna balances out Naina's naivety.

On the whole I do like the character of Meghna a tad more because she is an unconventional character. She has characteristics I have been wanting to see in women in hindi serials for ages. Plus I like the fact that her actions aren't always clearly in the white. She's a little on the grey side which makes her for a more 'real' person.

Naina is a little more conventional. I've seen her type of bahu on hindi serials a few times. I don't know if I would call it weakness per se but certain actions of hers fall in line with that concept of keeping quiet in the name of "sanskar" which in my mind needs to be redefined.

The biggest issue I had with Naina's character was that she chose to make this big sacrifice to marry Karan. At that point, Meghna was married, I don't think the fact that she slept with Kunal the night before would've had any real impact had the relationship broke. If Kunal would've stood by his dad and walked away then he wasn't really the right kind of guy for Meghna's happiness anyways. So her falling into NK's outrageous demands was a little old fashioned. Sometimes I feel she is being written as a caricature of the ideal hindi serial bahu and they are not giving her as much individuality as they should be.

"sometimes you have to lose small battles to win a war " Naina too is facing a similar situation with Sandy the war . war is to save Karan from sandy who he blindly trusts . she saw what happen when she tried to confront once and if she had repeated the same with soup incident it would be the same end result. no one would have believed her.

lets be practical who would believed a girl who has been in that house for few weeks over Sandy who was there for 25+ years , having everyone wrap around her finger

first Naina needs to build trust in Cauhan house which she is doing Nirmala trust her for a extent , same with Karan , more over even she is confuse with Sandy who claims to love Karan is doing all evil things.

She will strike with time, at the same time she will face more tough situations , which will only make her more determine to make things right same way she found out about holi colors

I love both sisters

Naina her circumstances is different she was forced in to a marriage she didn't wanted in the first place ( and she donne it for her sister and mom) with a hubby who wanted to get ride of from the beginning and yet with her courage and sheer determination and her calm thinking and force of observation she made a place in not only in her hubby,s life but in that of her mother in law too👏 and she is step by step healing her broken hubby Karan for his mother nirmala i think this alone is giving enough self confidence for nirmala and giving sheer determination to her to be her son's role model 😆 Naina is a quiet sweet girl with a tender heart always more reflective before taking a action and that does not make her weak that makes her patient and her courage is a silent courage that she does not need to cry out from a roof top and all these her endless courage her deep patience and her large intelligence shown in the way she deals with her hubby and her wanting to bring him in to the lightness from the darkness he has been livings👏 I love her for these and admirers her deeply too and these makes unique👏 and she is preparing for further studies while taking care of her depressed and we might say sick hubby woow this is way beyond admirable she is not running scared which would have been understandable but she calmly accepted her circumstances and got courage in hand 👏 so this does not make her weaker than her sister it makes her as strong as her sister or even I can say sometimes more so😆

Megna is a wonder too a harsh talking straight forward and intelligent with an hubby who supports her and love her way beyond and she basks in it know no matter what she do he'll be there for her I fell for her for the way she is handling nirmala situation this is how I started becoming her fan too and realistic person I am have to admit I didn't like all the action she has taken before holi in her anger and rash attitude but after karan kunal fight she has calmed down and become more reflective and stopped being too rash this made me fall for her 😆 and this made her more admirable and intelligent in my eyes👏 cause being too rash not only causes too much problems but might end up hurting your loved ones too⭐️

Naina's weekness is she is too trusting ( the way she questioned sandy that blew in her face and she learnt from that) and Megan's weekness is she is not enough trusting ( she didn't trust her hubby to share everything with him and we know it is gonna blow in her face and she is gonna learn from this too) so my guess is both sisters are well balanced in different ways and they both are equally admirable and unique and neither of them is better than the other nor out shine one from others👏 and both love respect and admire the other in the show 😉 and to bring down eveil sandya and heal Karan and to bring swabimaan to both their mothers and to show the right path to Nk they need to put these two different admirable characters together they need to communicate this is all I 'm gonna say😉

I don't agree that Naina is a weak.. when sandy shouted at Naina, she was not scared, she was shocked y sandy s making it a big issue.. whatever proofs she shows also no one wud believe her and most importantly she doesn't have the support of her husband.. in Meghnas case Kunal already loves her n he trusts her and she knows he wil stand up for her.. it's not the same with Naina..

As far as Nirmala is concerned she wud nvr have admitted that it's not good to keep quite until Naina made her realise that it s affecting her son..

Even in the soup incident she doesn't have any proof that sandy spoiled it purposely n it wud b stupid to confront sandy or tell anyone about this as it wud nly cause more harm..

And y do u think Naina won't stand fr her loved ones? She did stand up for Karan wn NK was about to hit him n also she stood up for Meghna when sandy was accusing her tat she made Kunal n Karan fight..

It takes a lot of courage to do what Naina s doing for Karan.. to fight sandy she needs to first win Karans trust until then she s trying to safeguard karan from her evil eyes.. it's very early to say she didn't fight back.. m sure she s gonna fight sandy once she gets the required proofs..

she has already finished her IIT and she s preparing fr IIM n she was shown studying few times..

Its just my point of view no offence intended...

It's good that you like Meghna and if she is your inspiration. But sometimes I feel she is too much full of herself. Her mother, her career, her swabhimaan..her..her..her. No offence.
