Shivaay knows that Ranveer is involved in all this. There was that odd beat of a pause between him being addressed by Ranveer as Mahi, and the cool "why are you being so informal?."I think it was to indicate a lightbulb moment for our SSO. Ranveer's weak ass excuse- "Sorry, I got carried away" makes no sense, if you think about it. Ranveer has never used anything but the respectful "aap" and the formal Mr. Oberoi/Shivaay, even during the Roka. Now, suddenly Ranveer uses "tu" with him, which, other than Om, no one has ever even THOUGHT in relation to SSO? Come on. Too odd, and Shivaay realizes it-- he looks at Ranveer, struck. So. Let's assume, for a moment, that Shivaay knows.
So why would he still expose the plan?
I think Shivaay, with this split second realization dawning about Ranveer's link to Mahi, changed his initial plan. Tonight, we cut to Soumya being smart as all hell, and when we come back, Ranveer is looking grim and Shivaay is calmly telling him about Fake Shivaay and the need to INVESTIGATE him.
Not about the Oberoi's plot to capture him in their own net. The portion of the plan Shivaay exposed to Ranveer this evening, is not the fake Khanna murder bit-- but about him being a police officer, and looking into this fake Shivaay, finding out who the mastermind is, finding out what his motives are. These are completely normal things to look into-- but the counter plan of the murder plot by the Oberois was not revealed.
This is a common tactic in war. You take the battle to the enemy's home turf. You set HIM on the defensive, you reveal you KNOW him, you suspect him, you are coming for him. Since these three have been counting on NOT being caught, the sudden realization that (A) everyone knows about Mahi (B) Shivaay is back home, with his entire family and all his resources behind him and (C) they suspect this plot to be BIGGER than Mahi. All these suddenly coming out will freak Ranveer and Kamini out. Good for you, Shivaay-- you will force them to make a mistake out of panic or nervousness.
Obviously this is an incredibly risky move, but Shivaay Singh Oberoi is nothing if not a risk taker. The problem is, actually, he is so used to making these huge decisions by himself, expecting others to be perfect as well, and executing his strategies, he forgets the core issue--- he is human, with a human being's vulnerabilities. As is his family. In dismissing Mahi as just a pawn being played by bigger players, he has forgotten one essential thing--
Mahi is a deeply disturbed, mentally troubled man.
All the cute tapori dialogue and pity inducing back story should not blind us to this-- Mahi is emotionally on a hair trigger. He has a vicious temper and he is uncontrollable when he is angry or threatened. I swear, this aspect of his nature makes me think he's Shivaay's twin more than anything else they could've come up with-- but while Shivaay retreats behind icy plotting and controlled destruction when enraged, Mahi goes for fire and violence.
Mahi has already revealed his corrosive, deep envy for Shivaay himself. It was one thing to be so unlucky while looking like Shivaay. Whether because he is Shivaay's illegitimate brother or just as a coincidence, looking like him has already played a number on this guy's head-- now he knows Shivaay's blessed life, too. Mahi compares them, and enjoys the thought of never letting Shivaay come back to his home. Not to mention, we have Mahi's new found need to take over Shivaay's life. More than just getting money for his mother, Mahi has his own plan. He wants to enjoy what his doppelganger has, to never return to the chawl that spawned him in the dirty "naali". If Shivaay or Anika do anything to challenge Mahi's ability to GET these things for himself, he will react much more violently than either the cool Ranveer or the greedy Kamini will.
If Anika's reveal to Mahi is real-- which it looks like it might be, since she names Ranveer to Mahi as one of the plotters-- Shivaay's juggling act will crash to the ground. Why has Mahi simply revealed himself to Anika in the precap? Because he knows the game is now up, with her knowing about them. He will attack her. Best case scenario, he will stuff her with Soumya. But I think it's going to be-- worst case scenario. He will put a gun to her head or a knife at her throat to try and fight his way out of the Mansion. He was never in this for the money, he panics when the situation gets tough, and I think he is becoming just a touch manic right now.
I think we are building to a show-down with the whole family, (including Shivaay), and to a full reveal on who the hell Mahi is and why he hates the Oberois. Why he needs them to HURT. And his biggest envy, the focus of his twisted desires and his full fledged jealousy by now is Shivaay Singh Oberoi, the man who has everything. Mahi has no feelings for Anika. But if this is the final showdown-- Mahi won't go down without taking at least SOMETHING away from the too blessed, too lucky, too perfect Ram Bhagwan who has a huge family, a proud name, unbelievable money, and even love.
He will take the only thing from Shivaay he can take quickly, something that will END Shivaay, gut his nemesis if he loses it. He will take Anika. That gun will go off, or the knife will strike, and my gut feeling, my loves?
It wont be Khanna falling.
