On topic, there are many reasons, the main ones, i think, are a matter of not liking many scripts coming her way. Also, another HP movie is due (2 + years since Khoobsurat), & Sonam is not relying on anyone imo, since she should be getting a producer credit with this one for the 1st time. She is always taking it slow & will not willingly take on more than 1 project at time. 😡😭

Too bad sexism in laws as well as in the industry is delaying Veere di wedding. She was rumoured to do a few movies next year, idk how it will work out now that VDW is pushed back... again

I dont think RK and Sonam would want to do a movie together though they did look good in Sawariya but the movie bombed so that jodi was never repeated.

After BV ... & Neerja, Ranbir would not say no, i think. 😉Sonam did say after Raanjhanaa that she would work with him if there was a good one. They probably made up by then. Foolish girl is rumoured to have rejected a few movies with him after that KWK, one being YJHD... which Deepu took on, a major reason why they dont get along anymore. Deepu eliminated the competition neatly & Sonam was naive to not see it coming😆

1. Sonam is not a good actor.
2. She bitches about everyone.
3. She is known as fashionista not as an actor.
4. Her psuedo feminism is highly annoying. She uses feminism to stay in news.
5. Her personal life has nothing interesting.

I dont think Sonam was exceptional in Neerja.She was okayish

Even the film wasn't something exceptional.I mean it was good but not exceptional that it would be remembered for years like Kaahani(Vidya Balan) or Queen(Kangana).

Well she was lucky but she isnt a competent actress so probably thats why. But she has her Papa to help her out. Besides she can always go into fashion industry and do something there.

We don't know that 😉

She's doing the right thing - waiting for a good project. It would be easy to sign a "big banner" movie just for the sake of it.

Priyanka / Deepika / Kangana all will have more than a year-long gap before their next Hindi film release - they have been working on other projects. Sonam has been busy with fashion and endorsements too.

She would have started shooting VDW but it's having financial issues.
