JNDSD~My take~ Tuesday 4.4.17~ String games
How many of us can remember playing the ancient game of manipulating string on our fingers in the school with our peers. Multiple fingers created multiple images and figures. I recall one called cat's cradle, another the spider web, and the mouse a tricky one! Apparently string games is an ancient art of string tricks that involves spending quality time on your own or with partners. Activities that challenges problem solving and guessing skills.To me the episode too has certain shades that resemble a string game between characters.We find a string of events, manipulated by the hands of destiny..finally have a befitting outcome. On the other hand the string game of true love between Vividha and Atharv is one that engaged them from the start. In between, it was interrupted thus the active interaction of the game paused. But it never was declared as discontinued by either of them. For the string of love was in their hands, ready to picked up and woven into a continuing preoccupation when the time was right. The time is ripe now.. the string of love in their hands from now on love will transfer from his palm to hers.. mine in my heart forever my beloved.
Wedding bells for Atharv and Vividha! It's confirmed all signed sealed and married ! with many blessings of their elders..it's going away as a just married couple. Ravish's chest swells with pride.. as he pulls Atharv's leg it's a good thing he made it in time. Atharv smiles gingerly, quite a reputation he's amassed now.. still no way was he not going to make it this time..this marriage has been coming a long time! Now all Atharv wants to do is whisk himself away with his pretty bride! Elsewhere too some bride gets ready and sits in a car alone without a groom. It's time to sit in the getaway car for Atharv and Vividha , Madhav puts a spanner in the works! wants to tag along with the newly married couple.. but natural ,the lad is unusually attached to his mother. But It's Ravish who puts his wing over the boy, obvious thing to do, as Ravish is the one who Madhav was closest to after Vividha! coaxes the boy to let his parents go, while Sujata lures him with a ice cream treats. Madhavs' streak of dry wit inherited from his father Atharv comes into play when tongue in cheek he pulls his dad leg by saying ,would they mind a lot if he gives coming with them a miss this time! Atharv laughs at his son's cheekiness.. there's no doubt in his mind that Madhav is his boy! The one final thing that remains is to receive Ravish's blessing for him and Vividha. Both brothers hug each other.. a brief hug that needn't say thanks for everything from one brother and the other replying..my pleasure..for blood is thicker than water..
Alone at last and heading towards an unknown destination. The way certainly not scenic. It's dark eerie almost sinister. What does Atharv have up his sleeve?for the moment they relish they made it at last! Just married! another car too carries a woman she seems in a hurry.. to cover the distance she tells the driver the place is dangerous. For Atharv and Vividha.. time is risky as passion refuses to hold.. Atharv gives his beloved wife a sided meaningful look in the rear seat!Time seems to have stopped. They have all the time in the world to love one another till eternity. Haste kills the driver of the speeding car with the bridal woman passenger. Next minute , she runs on the road followed by goons. In a hurry she stumbles. Vividha looks out of the car window, pitch darkness, weird shadows, skeletons of bare trees, some frightening route to celebrate their honeymoon night. Atharv enjoys the thrill of giving her fear..feigns a pain at the side of stubble face and steals a kiss on her cheek! husband's right! and promises of more to follow. Her response an affectionate smack! with a protest he is still the same as he was! He confesses he did change quite a bit, lost a large chunk of memories.. that were personal to him, had he died it wouldn't have ,mattered , but life was a nightmare ,as he lived without recollection of who he was?Atharv admits. Vividha wants him to remember the memory loss and what he became was all drug induced.. besides his memories were not lost just concealed from him.Her words like always empowered him and he assures her.. hang on Vividha, he will recall everything gradually. Vividha smiles, his love for her, he knows.. that is sufficient for her.
She loves him for how he under played Madhav and his DNA mismatch. She is the one niggled by that.But not Atharv, he boiled it down to the machines technical failures.For him even now what matters is their journey in life travelling together as far as they can go, but side by side! Although presently the road they literally travel on is no smooth riding, but bumpy and with potholes .. hope this is not ominous about forth coming string of events ..the bride woman runs on the road..running frantically away from a gang of bad men..
Baffling string game.. the runaway bride has a headlong collision with Ravish's car!! She couldn't have picked on a better person for help..this journey continues and so does vividha's inquisitiveness ..especially when he drops the driver at the bus stop and himself takes over the wheel with his pretty wife beside him in the passenger seat who has fear written all over her! the naughty teasing lover in Atharv is tempted into action. He plays upon her fear, scares her there is some crisis with the car! suddenly stops in the middle of nowhere, when Vividha turns her head to look at the darkness.. but when she turns she is met with Atharv wearing a set of false fangs ready to suck her blood! Vividha screams! as her palms bang at him, while Atharv chuckles, ah! these jests , sweet prompts to draw them closer to each other like they were before.. Vividha urges him to leave this god forsaken place! To annoy her he flirts with his love, finds the surroundings romantic and sincewhen has she become so timid? She retorts if being timid implies being wise then that she is!and orders him to drive on!
Ravish was never a coward when doing the needful. Much to Uma and Guddi alarm he brings the stranger bride home. Gets her seen too by a doctor while her presence is disapprove off.Ravish goes by what the doctor says ,she should be fine by morning, and say more about her self. Guddi speculates seeing she is dressed as a bride her folks must be waiting..Ravish questions, why this bride was unaccompanied? Could she be a runaway bride? Or is she on to a potentially good catch.. Ravish?
Their journey finally ends.Vividha is not impressed by this severe ,dull ,almost dead silent place. It's more spooky than a love nest! The ghostly hand and figure of the watchman appearing from nowhere, frightens her even more! Seems they are the only ones there. Mind you that's exactly what Atharv imagines, a place all to themselves! Vividha whines at him she expected someplace romantic not some high adventure! he nods and leads her into this place.
Ravish minds this sweet child Madhav , for his parents Vividha and Atharv. Peeks to check if young Madhav is asleep . it's only pretence. The boy sits up and speaks his needs to Ravish. He wants his mum unless... Ravish takes his mind off things by playing a game with him. Ravish knows this imp all to well! and in an disciplined tone Ravish imposes a condition only for ten minutes then he'll have to sleep! Ravish like a good "parent" continues to spend important quality time with Madhav when he teaches him the string game, imparting the ancient game to Madhav a product of the digital age.. Guddi comes into the room and smiles at how Madhav and Ravish are strung along with the string of love and interaction...
This feels more like it.. romance is in the air. Atharv brings her into a bridal suite custom made for them in the middle of nowhere. Vividha smiles as Atharv walks towards her meaningfully.. does she find the ambience romantic enough? if not then just to remind her they are in the heart of a jungle and its up to them to make this night more ecstatic..the song ,the story of their love, plays on, depart not from my heart my beloved. Atharv's arms close around Vividha. A creaky sound is heard...
It's all coming together for Vitharv. The lead up to their honeymoon is different from what Vividha expects, but it still creates the magic which is typical of their previous interactions that led to their love.The runaway bride is introduced perhaps to create issues for Ravish? and this time it will be Atharv and Vividha who will support him in tackling whatever issue he faces.. just my thoughts hamlet53 5.4.17
