I guess while the Boses were homeless, he was homeless too. We were shown that he visits IN twice a week for a few minutes. I still don't understand why he has come back to stay at IN permanently now. Not that its wrong but just what is the reason?

While the Boses lost all their money and were trying to make a life again, he gave up his business reins to Vicky and struggled too?

Of course while Sona had a supportive, understanding family, he had no one by his side.

And Sona abandoned Dev so his pain is even greater.
