Dev is portrayed as a bit too dark a shade of grey to be believable. The problem is he is an all round nice guy, with a good upbringing, good education and with a decent view on life BUT it is just hard to digest when a person of such stature behaves way too naive.
Anger and hate are only human emotions as love and friendliness but both his hate and love seem to blind his views.
I guess while we are able to accept most characters with their flaws, there is so much yo-yoing in Dev's character that some of his actions would be deemed unacceptable in real life. I guess for both Sona and the audience, Dev is such an anti hero.
