Begin Again
Dev stood there staring at her from afar , his intense gaze penetrating a hole into the back of her head.Turning around she revealed her beautiful face to him, the same face he mastered to read,his very own solved puzzle which more felt like broken piece now.Her honey kissed molten chocolate orbs glimmered in sunlight ,turning a shade lighter than usual.Her once expressive ,familiar orbs now seemed like a foreign ,unknown and dangerous territory to him.A subtle all familiar smile graced her features yet it didn't reach her eyes.
He felt rather foolish to think she wouldn't attend this wedding ,off course she would afterall it was Nikki's wedding and she was more of her sister than his.He was still in contact with her and maybe Riya was too.He didn't bothered to find out about it.
He tried to look away but like always she anchored his attention solemnly on herself without even knowing.Her coffee coloured sharp orbs that once used to light up with mischief were just bottomless pit of darkness.
She still looked majestic as ever ,elegant yet wild,he could tell she was looking for trouble like always.She was a known troublemaker .He was transported back into his memory lane ,the same puppy love phase where he used to drink her beauty from far.Nothing was changed he still is doing that but the only fact that changed was so many phases have come and went away.
It felt only yesterday that she poured her heart to him,confessing to him with the colorful words from her legendary vocabulary.Her eccentric and peculiar words.Mr.Abhodro.A slow yet steady smile graced his lips as he was yet again reminded of the name she used to call him.She always have been the bold one.He still has her words, her name imprinted in his mind , heart and soul.She was still the same yet different.
Somehow he had convinced himself that she was just a reckless part of his youth, a part that has no ground in present but Seeing her after so many years resurfaced his old yet passionate emotions that once used to be his life,stirring up those hues of hurricane.He still remember how it used to felt to hold her close.
She flicked her hair away from her forehead , somehow she found herself staring at his piercing dark mahogany orbs blended with light hues..She felt frozen for a second ,memories fleeting in her mind.That fuzzy feeling finding its way back to her heart.She forced her mind to come back to world of reality as the bitter memories of their separation played in front of her.
Her finger that once used to adorn with a ring, a symbol of their togetherness was nowhere to be found now.Her empty finger caused a wave of pain to crash into him.His gaze turned back to her eyes only to see her mirroring his reaction, vulnerability evident in her eyes.
She loved him just the way he did.But their clash of egos,cluster of misunderstanding formed a long bridge between them.A bridge that now seemed impossible to cross. Years of knowing her, surviving their stupid fights ,talking sweet nothings Yet he was far away from her.
The feeling of falling asleep next to her was still living afresh in his mind.His heart was empty in its cage, cage named Sonakshi.She still has his heart.It was beating for her but she knew he would never admit that aloud.hurricaneliving.She was a combination of everything wild yet alluring in the world.
For a fleeting moment he saw a flicker of emotion in her eyes.Pain anguish, helplessness all negative mix.But Affection was still underlying there.The mile long bridge seemed nothing in front of that affection.Mentally preparing himself he walked in her direction.
His slow steps caused a hurricane in her stomach.Her eyes displayed every single emotion that once she felt for him betraying her body.He was causing a riot ,a live wild riot inside her.
"Looking for trouble ??"
He asked fully knowing that she indeed was doing some mischief.Her eyes slightly widened at his casual yet direct approach.She was still confused whether to talk to him or not.
"Maybe"
She sheepishly admitted ,biting her lip.She was astound to see that he still can read her mind.She never was the one to hold grudges ,if he was making first move here then she would like to go with the flow not to oppose it.Its been years of her trying to find closure after Dev,she was tired to waiting.A soft smile made its way to his lips.
"But you know i don't look for them ,they just seem to attract to me"
She added haughtily with a poker face.His deep husky laugh filled her ears maybe a signal that she should just go with the flow.
" Care for a walk ?"
He asked slightly smirking at her.
"I hate walking"
She deadpanned throwing a playful glare in his direction.
"I know"
He chuckled and offered his hand to her while motioning to take it.She considered her choices , weighting them carefully.Maybe this was the chance she was looking for ,maybe this was her closure.She barely brushed her hand against his, neither trying to hold his had nor rejecting to hold it.Just a simple touch to let him know that it was just a beginning.
.She will begin again with him.She would rather make those mistakes again and try to rectify them with him then to stay put in walls ,guarding her heart and become bitter.
