Suspect #1 - Chotti Maa

A good mystery is one where there are many suspects and clues are hidden in plain sight. Have been thinking of doing a series on the suspects.

So, here's presenting the 1st suspect - Choti maa.

Here's a woman, who has been belittled at every step by her step son, who showers her affection on her step daughter more than her own daughter, who watches her own daughter take the wrong path, who seems to have come from a poor background? Add a backstory of she betraying or someone betraying her.

She neither got the position, nor the money, nor the title, nor any love. Kayva despises her, Rishab insults her, Gitu doesn't hesitate to suspect her.

Theory - She could've planned Rishabh's blindness to get the property, but since it went to Gitu, has been drugging her make her mentally unstable. With Rishab blind, and Gitu mad, the property comes to her or Kavya. She could've joined hands with Abhi, abhi gets his revenge, and she the property.

Clues that have been dropped to hint she is a suspect

1. Her first meeting with Abhi, there was some eyetalk going on between them.

2. The we-know-it-all smile with Munimji.

3. In one instance, she asked Kayva to remain silent, reminding her what happened to Abhi.

4. Her game with Priyam.

Is Choti maa is guilty? Why/ Why not?

Would like to know your theories and thoughts.

Now my take on Chhoti Maa...I think she is doing whatever she has done in the past and in the present now...to make a position for herself...for property...which went to Gitanjali but she wanted everything for herself and Kavya...She has Munshiji involved with her in all this...

May be she wants revenge from Rishabh...for his constant mockery for her belonging to a poor family and that she holds no position in the house.

Regarding She being the mastermind in this plan...I don't think so...otherwise why would she play that game with Priyam? She played that game when no one was around...she doesn't need to prove to anyone anything...She can just simply let go whatever is happening with Geetu...as if she wants all this and has planned it all...then she wouldn't go with RV to Priyam's parents village.

Also she would have been happy to see a rift being created between the bro sis duo...she always does try to protect Gitanjali from Priyam by repeatedly saying that Abhi is dead and Priyam is lying.

Why would someone always be after the person who has been planted in this house by you yourself?😕

So in my opinion she is definitely planning for property but not regarding bringing Priyam in the family.

@blue - that's a valid point in favour of Choti Maa.

Maybe there are two parties at play here - one for revenge and one for the property. And both partis want the siblings to suffer.
