Jumping The Gun!

first things first.. did i like the episode? yes, it was fun for the most part. The best part i liked was when Jatin speaks of Dev having his heart in the right place and Sona telling him that all have their heart there!!!

However the cinematography left much to be desired. The scenes looked stitched together in an uneven fashion. It could be the outcome of shooting different sequences with Body doubles, different times, dates etc.

Some examples - Sona drinking water and Dev coming to her to talk about Jatin, Golu appearing from nowhere to console his bigcha.. Dev coming into the room where Mrs Mondal was upto some tricks.. etc.. these scenes looked very patchy.

Anyway, coming to the point. The preview of what lies ahead on monday bothered me. it has plenty of scope for one to jump the gun! it has the intrigue factor that can make anyone jump to conclusions even before it airs.. .

1. Bijoy accusing Dev of stealing.. why would a billionaire steal unless he is a kleptomaniac.. In the last 280 odd episodes Dev never had any signs of this so the basis of Bijoy accusing Dev of stealing seemed rather far-fetched. What will make him go to this extreme?

2. Sona's look after Bijoy's accusation.. to me it did not look like she was going to support Dev.. it looked like she is bound to support Bijoy.. Is the story moving from "Like Mother and like Son" to "Like Father and like daughter"? If it is so, what will make Sona want to support her father and not Dev even on such a ridiculous accusation?

3. Are they going to use such outrageous situations to show dev's slow redemption? Here is why i am suspicious. Sona may not support Dev and he will gracefully accept all accusations.. When Sona comes to Dixit house, something similar will happen to Sona but Dev will support Sona this time.. and thus shown to become mahaan? it sure looks like Dev's turn to become mahaan, one way or the other.. Not that i have an issue in this, but they way the seem to be going about it does not make sense to me.

Am i the only one who is so skeptical of what i saw or ... I hope i am wrong in my prediction of Sona supporting Bijoy.

Even I felt that sona might support bijoy...

I hope story does not move forward as stated by u.other wise soha ll take bose and sona as as culprit..
Let soha face reality of bose and dixit family. Wht exactly thy r. .otherwise no use no use of dis track.

I'm thinking exactly that because if Sona supports Dev then the natural path is for Dev to realise his lack of voice/words at crucial moments and they all live happily ever after.

The alternative and the more plausible case is where Sona and Soha are carried away by the accusation and Dev working hard to prove himself right. This makes Sona accept that in the past too she must have misunderstood Dev's all good intentions. This also means Dev never gets the chance to tell Sona in front of everyone how much he loves her :-) or all the things he has confessed to Soha, Golu, his mum and us (in his monologue today)

It will be an interesting wait. I wonder what will sway the makers? The audience reaction over the weekend? or do they really have a plan already?!


I should add that I am not going to read much into their facial expressions. I find their expressions incoherent. Like yesterday, Sona looked rather uncomfortable in the whole dhoti drama but many thought it was passion.

The things bothered me are.

1. Sonas look - clearly states that she is upset with that happening... It's precap n right now i cant say that this gonna happen for sure..

2. Soha look : it's like either she is disgusted or she is angry but on whom ??? She even feels her father s a thief or she is angry on bijoy for accusing her father ??

3. Sourab : surely the newly found relation of Dev n sourab gonna effect after this .But in what way should see..

4. My prediction is Dev might say that he has seen Mrs. Mondol there n some drama of bijoy and series of bombs on Dev from boses...

Like i said, the teaser has immense potential of making us jump the gun, what with 48 hours to go before the next episode airs!!

i am pretty sure that Dev will be shown to care a damn for all these accusations.. for him it is all about winning and keeping his image with his daughter.. he has to become larger than life for her.. it does not matter how it comes.

I am also expecting that Dev will not accuse Mrs Mondal of anything and let her get caught in her own games.. it will make him that much more larger.. if sona supports Bijoy, it will make them bother that much more smaller in Soha's eyes..

that is what this whole sequence seems to be about now.. again, jumping the gun.. it is weekend time and hence speculation time.. nothing better to do.

First thing first its getting annoying to see disjointed scenes because of excessive use of body doubles and unnecessary closeups. Its become so easy to notice that a body double is being used, kinda spoil the emotions of the scene.

I m thinking Sona wud support Dev coz Sona has shown support to Dev infront of everyone and even tries to stop Bijoy when she feels Dev is right.

Asha (Dev's fan) would definitely support Dev.

N Dev is not the one who listens to anyone's accusations...he wud respond properly to Bijoy.

I believe Bijoy is doing it just to make Dev realise his n his family's mistake. But seeing the way CVs wants to equate Bijoy with Ish n Gkb, he might actually believe Dev did it.

Another parallel Bijoy is getting instigated by Ronita's mom just like Ishwari's get instigated by Gkb. CVs trying to justify that Ish is not wrong, anyone can makd mistakes.

You sure have a point here. They may be drawing parallels between the two homes and showing that both are essentially the same except for Asha and Mamaji.. it will be a pity if they do so.

Dasji... please look at it as a way of humoring you... you too are jumping the gun😆. Episodes nowadays are concentrating only on the drama quotient as the makers have to show some twists every other day to spice up the 7 day stay routine. Maybe tv shows are more attuned to saas - bahu drama nd we might get to see it in sona's stay at dixits as it is more emotional atyachaar . But sasur - jamai drama ( i mean diff bet men are shown either in physical combat or as a crime) which i guess limits the opportunities of cv's.

I think Sona will support Dev; and going by Soha's expression I think she won't be able to tolerate any rubbish against Sonakshi in IN; especially by GKB and Ishwari!!!

So for drama sake thy have to show this.. though everyone knows tht dev wud never stoop so low as a petty thief. It will be again followed by some light hearted tashan ( bickering) between sasur - jamai. The show has long forsaken the route of keeping us fans in the edge.

Also dev also jumped the gun looking at sona jatin interactions. The body language bet sona nd jatin is so formal ( as in dont crowd my space)... nd it left me wondering, has the bizwiz buddhuram dev lost his touch in reading people. So he is still territorial whn it comes to sona.

It is fun jumping the gun, isn't it? i think it is the one of the forms of passing time!

I liked the phrase you use in BOLD - "Territorial when it comes to Sona!" Ha, ha, ha..

yes, Dev jumped the Gun, Bijoy Jumped the Gun.. it is now a question of - Who next, i suppose!
