Chapter 39: (Written by me)

They were home.

As they entered, Simran and the others welcomed them.

Roshni as usual took the blessings of the elders and hugged Simran and Raj.

Siddarth did the same and so did Rahoniya.

"Congratulations on your wedding beta", Simran touched Soniya's face.

"Thanks Aunty", she took her blessings.

"Aunty nahi maa bolo".

"Okay maa", Soniya hugged her.

"Okay guys I have to go aswell. Varna mom mujhe maar hi dalenge aaj", Soniya said and left.

Rahul pretended to collapse on the sofa.

"Poor me"

"My dramebaaz brother, would you care to come with me for a second? I have to talk to you about the wedding", Roshni lifted him up.

"Wait a second! Aren't you on the boys side for the wedding", Siddarth asked.

"No am from Soniya's side".

Siddarth pouted. "But you're my wife na".

"But am Soniya's sister too".

"Wife".

"Sister"

"Wife!!".

"Sister!"".

"Would you two stop it??", Rahul shouted out.

Then Roshni and Rahul went to the room to discuss about the wedding while Siddarth stood there in disbelief.

"But she's my wife", he pouted.

In the room:

"So Siddarth..", Roshni stopped talking halfway.

"Oh ho yaar you are taking me for Siddarth now. Looks like tumhe pyaar hogaya hain".

"Oh shut up Rahul ", she hit him.

"I meant Rahul.".

"Kahin tumhe phir se shaadi..".

"Please I'd rather live my whole life as an unmarried woman than marry him again".

"We'll see about that", Siddarth said from behind.

Roshni looked at him and then looked back at Rahul .

"So bro tell me do you prefer plain white and red or beige with linings for your marriage sherwani?", she asked him.

"Plain white with red".

"Any special songs or games you plan to play on sangeet?".

"Actually I was thinking let's split the teams into two for sangeet. There's 15 people in total from both families so 7 people on each team and 1 can be judge", Rahul was smart.

"Fantastic idea!! Obviously Roshni will be on my team", Siddarth hugged Roshni from behind.

"What makes you think that?", Roshni replied.

"Seriously who wouldn't want to be in the same team as me. I am dashing an awesome dancer you know".

"Whatever I do I will not be in the same team as you", Roshni snapped.

"Okay simple I'll just go with Ella then my secretary" , he pretended to leave

Roshni panicked. "Wait!".

"Yes madam", he looked back smiling.

"I guess I'll be on your team".

"Why? Are you jealous baby", he pulled her closer.

"Excuse me why would I be jealous", Roshni rolled her eyes.

"So its set me, Soniya, mom, sasumaa, Bablu chachu, Kesar Chachu and Pratima chachi will be on one team", Rahul went on.

"Then on the other team it will be you guys, dad, Durga aunty, Kritika,Resham chachi and bua dadi. Then Nani can be judge".

"Wait a second, what did you say at the end?", Siddarth thought he heard wrong.

"Uh nani".

"No before that".

"Oh yeah bua dadi", Rahul expected an explosion.

"What!! No seriously you are kidding right", Siddarth stood in disbelief.

"No am serious. She complained she couldn't come to your wedding so she said she will definitely come to mine", Rahul complained.

"Mar gaya. Siddarth tu gaya kam se".

"Kya hua", Roshni was confused.

"You don't this bua dadi Roshni. She's a pain. When you talk to her, you get tempted to hit her wish a base or something", Siddarth sighed.

"Seriously is she that bad?", Roshni tensed her eyes.

"She's so bad. You know once she forced me to do ballet. She wanted a granddaughter so she said to me pretend you are a girl and learn ballet"..

Roshni and Rahul bursted out laughing.

"Haha I remember that that was the funniest thing ever", Rahul laughed.

"Seriously", Roshni laughed.

"What up guys", Soniya came in.

"Aaja", Rahul signalled her.

He hugged her.

"Soniya", Roshni called.

"Hmm", came the reply.

"Mona bua se jhagra hua hain kya?".

Soniya looked at her surprisingly.

"No...mera matlab hain haan".

"Ab kya kiya tumne"

"Tum hamesha mujhe blame kyun karti hain?"

"Yeah why do you always blame my saali saahiba", Siddarth went to Soniya.

"Shut up Siddarth, you don't know how much of a troublemaker she is", Roshni eyed Soniya.

"Roshni I swear this time it wasn't my fault. She was giving me a lecture about love yaar. I mean I already knew about love. Her and her lectures I got sick of it so I left", Soniya moaned.

"Bichari", Siddarth took her side.

"Dekhiye na jeejusa", she pretended to cry.

"Siddarth", Roshni said it in such a stern voice.

Siddarth looked at her with big eyes.

"Sorry meri maa", he said.

"Excuse me", Roshni replied.

"I mean sorry my sweetheart am on your side only", Siddarth flattered her.

"Idiot", Soniya hit Siddarth.

"Soniya she's your mom obviously she will give you lectures and am sure most of the things she told you, you didn't even know", Roshni tried to make her understand.

"Seriously? Babes this time you are wrong".

"Oh really?? Tell me one thing you already knew about the lecture she gave you", Roshni challenged her.

"Uhhh ...Rahul help me out na", Soniya shrugged Rahul .

"Yeah...uh", Rahul didn't know what to say.

"Just say na Rahul what you know about love. Tell her the definition of love!", Soniya asked.

"Definition of love??", Rahul smiled.

"Yeah".

"Love is a strong feeling between two people that pulls them closer even if they grow apart".

Roshni could only think about Siddarth. She thought about how she met him when she was a child and how she met him again when she was an adult. About how fate brought them closer.

"Love is when you can't see the other person in pain. When you see them in pain, it feels as if your world is on the verge of being destroyed".

Roshni thought about the incident that happened in the car. How she felt a strong feeling of hugging Siddarth when he was nervous and sad.

"Love is when you can't resist the closeness of your partner. When he or she is close you feel as if you've got everything with you that you should have. As he or she comes closer you can't seem to go far or leave because a force is not letting you go. Its like a magnet"

Roshni thought about all the moments she has spent with Siddarth. Those romantic times when he came closer to her and she couldn't do anything but be with him.

"Love is when your heartbeats depends on someone else's heartbeats. If their heartbeats stop, yours will stop too. Your whole breathing system depends on them. They can make your breathing go faster they can make it stop they can make it go slow".

Roshni looked at Siddarth. She smiled and breathed feeling in the love.

Rahoniya looked at them and smiled.

"Siddarth!! Roshni!!", Simran called out.

They went to see Simran.

"Yes mom"

"Siddarth go unpack. Roshni beta make some coffee for all us please. We love the coffee you make", Simran touched Roshni's face.

"Wait a second. Why is that she gets the easiest work and I get the hardest work", Siddarth complained.

"What makes you think making coffee is easy?", Roshni snapped.

"It take 2 minutes".

"Shut up Siddarth!".

"Roshni".

"Siddarth".

"Okay you know what I'll make the coffee and I'll also cook. You unpack the clothes."

"You and cook", she laughed.

"See this is what I mean by you underestimate your husband", he grabbed her by the waist.

"Chodo mujhe. Sharam nahi aati maa hume dekhri hain", Roshni tried to remove his hand.

"Tumare saath sharam kaise baby", Siddarth took a stronger grip.

"Aarghh", someone screamed.

"Aargh", SidNi both screamed.

"Mausi!", Simran screamed.

"Oh no", Siddarth cried.

"Bua dadi am guessing", Roshni said and Siddarth nodded.

"Ey ladki tujhe sharam nahi aati? Aisi romance karte hue", Bua Dadi went to Roshni.

Roshni didn't know what to say out of nervousness.

"Sorry", she finally said.

"Sor..Sorry?", Bua Dadi replied.

Siddarth hit his forehead.

"Haan sorry", Roshni was confused.

"Angrezi kahi ki. Tu India mein hain toh Hindi bol", she ordered Roshni.

"Mujhe maaf kardo", Roshni panicked.

Siddarth and Roshni touched her feet for blessings.

"Tik hain. Tik hain", she blessed them.

"Kaisi ho Bua Dadi", Siddarth asked.

"Tumhe dekh liya kaisi tik hogi?, Bua Dadi replied.

"Matlab?", Siddarth could never understand her.

Everyone looked serious.

Then Bua Dadi started laughing.

"Mazak", she said.

"oh", came the response. Then they faked laughed as well.

Bua Dadi and Simran went to sit down.

Siddarth went to the kitchen and Roshni went to the room.

Roshni was unpacking.

She saw Siddarth's clothes all scattered.

She folded them and put them in the cupboard.

"Yeh ladka bi na".

"Jo bi hun tumari hun", Siddarth said from behind.

He came in with two cup of coffee.

"Let's see if this coffee even tastes nice or not", Roshni took the cup.

She tasted it and her face looked as if she wanted to smile and cry at the same time.

She looked at Siddarth who was waiting desperately for her reaction.

She faked a smile.

"Acha hain".

Siddarth smiled.

"See I told you I could make coffee easily", Siddarth smiled.

"Yeah..don't know about that", she muttered the last bit.

Siddarth was about to take the other cup when suddenly Roshni snatched it from him and drank all of it.

"Sorry actually its too good", the truth was she didn't want Siddarth sick.

Siddarth then smiled continuously to himself.

"Roshni?", he called.

"Yeah what do you want?".

"Do you really hate me".

Roshni looked at him and his eyes.

"Yes", she replied.

Siddarth took her and pinned her to the cupboard.

"Siddarth what are you..".

"Why are you lying? Are you trying to convince yourself or me?".

"What do you mean", Roshni struggled.

"Well first of all, you just drank that cup of coffee that I just made. As far as I know you would never drink anything made by me if you hated me. Forget that, you would automatically say the coffee was bad as soon as you drank it. You and me both know that coffee was crap. I added too much coffee grains and less milk".

Roshni looked shockingly at him.

"Yes I did that on purpose because I wanted to know what you do. Trust me I make the best coffee. But anyways leave all that why did you drink it? Why did you drink the other cup as well?... No answer? I have the answer, its because you didn't want me to get sick."

Roshni looked down as if she was ashamed of what she did.

"Why don't you just tell me you love me? Just three words Roshni then I promise you I won't annoy you again. We will live the most happiest life. The life you have always wanted".

He looked into her eyes and tried to make her believe him.

Roshni wanted to believe him so badly but she couldn't.

Then they got disturbed by the sudden scream.

"Roshni!!", Simmi screamed.

"I swear maa ki toh main", Siddarth moaned.

Roshni pushed him back and fixed her clothes.

She was about to go when Siddarth called her.

"Listen".

"Kya?".

"You remember how to behave in front of Bua Dadi right?".

"Shit I forgot to ask mom", she got worried.

"Its okay just remember three things. First don't talk in English when you are in front of her or with her. Secondly never react to what she says. I've known her for ages forget that dad has known her for such a long time now and even he doesn't know when she jokes or not. She's s unpredictable. Thirdly don't go against her traditions", Siddarth placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Traditions? What traditions?", Roshni asked

"You know old traditions".

Roshni stood there as if she didn't know what he was talking about.

"Seriously you don't know about traditions?", Siddarth was in disbelief

"My moms DD", Roshni rolled her eyes.

"Good point. For example traditions like the bride isn't allowed to meet the groom before wedding".

"Oh okay", Roshni replied.

Then they both realised something.

They looked at each other.

"Soniya!!", they both screamed.

What will happen when Bua Dadi sees Soniya with Rahul before marriage in his room or will she? What will SidNi do to stop her from seeing?? Is Roshni finally realising her love? Will Rahoniya's plans succeed?
