Mahi is a girls name... What if itsshort form for Mahesh. Mahesh is also aname of Lord Shiva... So r dey gonna retain the character?

Exactly...mahi for dhoni is d short form of mahinder...similarly this one too..
What i was saying is that since all brothers are named after shiva, his being mahesh could be an indication of future plot...ofcoz only if mahi stands for mahesh...its jus an assumption

Me neither...but if he is pinkys son i wouldnt want him to die just for closure of the plot...no matter how insensitive pinky has been , nomother deserves it... But a body double game with nakul playing both the characters would be difficult to relate to
Maybe show him injured and a new actor playing his part post surgery/recovery
