what if Samay was Maya's friend that left her on her ninth bday because ashwin started calling Maya mad? Maybe his parents didn't want him to be close to a girl like Maya...
Is he the reason why Maya is scarred?

Please no. It's difficult to fathom that a 9 yr old will really care about a friend who was called a mad by his father. And then he will actually track her down 20 years later.

Let him be Maya's ex, like Desi was. Or probably someone who was in love with Maya but Maya never let him in her life and always ignored him.

one thing i found out in todays episode is samay also does not drink like maya

for some reason i feel samay might be related to Maya, half brother maybe idk im having different predictions

Rather I feel they were friends
Some relation is definitely there which is why it's a hit and miss situation going on...
samay didn't see that Maya is his wife on tv and now he missed her cuz he left the pub
