I watched Philauri this weekend. they showed rural punjab in 1919 and people drinking too much alcohol.

forward 98 years. they showed Amritsar and people starting drinking at 9 in morning. Has situation been that bad in Punjab since pre-Independence era?

Philauri even trivialized the drug thing that that kaneda wala taking drug via ciggret being nothing shocking.
