He is a divorced man and has the reputation of being a womaniser. But he is now keen on becoming a father and is scouting for a surrogate to carry his child.
After Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Tusshar Kapoor & Karan Johar welcomed tiny tots through surrogacy, this filmmaker too has started feeling the pangs of fatherhood.
The director has been inspired by Karan's happiness and he has started meeting various fertility experts so that he can find a surrogate to carry his children.
While this is keeping him busy on the personal front, the filmmaker's professional life is in a slump.
He was the toast of the town a couple of years ago with a film which became the surprise hit of the year and turned an underdog into a star.
The filmmaker then attempted a full-fledged, star-studded musical but that film crashed and burned at the box-office.
He is still looking for his next project. And it looks like he has found something to keep himself busy in the meantime.
He still has not zeroed in on the woman who will carry his child. But if things go as per plan, the director will welcome his first child in 2018.
