he clearly told anika that he cannot express himself in the recent episode when he told her to hug him.
to be honest more than shivaay I always and always wanted a track where anika will show him her attitude her real attitude she had in their first meeting and windscreen breaking scene but no, it didn't happen despite of several of his insults at many occasions she still fell in love with him, I never liked her love confession to unconscious shivaay because a minute ago he insulted her and said things like tum biwi ki tarah behave mat karo aur kab se iss shaadi seriously le rahi ho, shivaay remained the same after marriage too but why not anika???
as for his redemption, that's not even needed he knows what she's to him and she knows that but she also knows that shivaay will never say and she's quite content with it.
