Career move: TV to Films

Another box ticked in the "Things to expect in a 4 Lions production" - a lead quitting the show for the bigger picture.😆

If the rumour of Leenesh quitting the show is true,💔 I'll be sad because Rudra is the life of the show but honestly no one can blame him at this point... No importance is given to his character whatsoever.😡

As I mentioned earlier, it has become a trend in Gul's shows for a male lead to quit the show for a career in films. My concern is about the movies they choose to do. 😕

Why do these tv actors who enjoy immense popularity - stardom even- choose to quit their popular shows for generic roles in low budget/ C Grade films? I'm sure a few names come to mind at this point 😉... I get the need to experiment in different roles, but surely it's a bad career move to quit popular tv shows for films that may not even see the light of day?

Isn't it better to do an author backed role even as a supporting character in a big banner production where they will get noticed? Although I haven't watched many other shows, I know that Sushant guy made the correct career move and debuted in a critically acclaimed film. Even Vikrant Massey is doing good supporting roles in big productions as well as indie films.. I saw him in a trailer Death in the Gunj.. Different and allows him to explore his capabilities as an actor.

Barun and KSG's choices were really poor... and not really worth giving up their tv careers for. Even KVB and Harshad acted in some poor movies but they did it in between tv shows, so no harm done.

I hope Leenesh chooses wisely... I would understand if he was offered a lead role in another tv show, but a role in a movie even as a lead should be really worth it... one that would get him recognition as an actor (and that would actually release). I would hate to see his potential wasted.

He is a great actor with the capability of making audience empathize with him, even when he is being a jerk (to Saumya).

Agree with your post, I get the need to move onto a different platform and experiment, but I think quitting a popular show which gives immense exposure and popularity isn't a smart move. Like you mentioned some have done it in the past, just not worth it.

But everyone has desires and it can sometimes work. But if Mattoo is leaving, sad. He provides the humour and the light scenes in the show. Also I just don't want a replacement and can't imagine OBro scenes without him

100% agreed.. I can't help feel mad at the producers for not giving him emough screentime/importance..
Unpopular opinion: I can't help feel mad that Leenesh will leave.. if he does. It's like you're disappointing your fans, fans who watch Ishqbaaz for Rudra etc. Although it is understandable but still.. this is coming from a fan who hates change btw😆😵

Yes, everyone has dreams of the silver screen. Let's just hope he chooses a good film as a launch pad.

And yes, an end to the character, however sad that maybe will be better as a replacement will have big shoes to fill.

Hmm... while I agree that he has been treated unfairly, this show has given him immense popularity. If he was to leave it, it should be for something even better and substantial. My concern is about the poor choices that earlier actors have made and I hope Lee does not follow that route.

First we don't know what grade of flim he is offered, how can we sayit's. A,B,or c , n what role
I know many TV stars have acted in flop movies but many came out successful, like sushant Singh Rajput, yami Gautama, even srk was doing TV before movies so can't judge but hope his movie become hit, anything can happen in Bollywood , if not hot hit also he will get learning experience , which is very important for artists
Second thing is he is not treated like a lead in ib, there was hope with dbo but he is ignored there also,
Yes ishqbaaz n DBO will face a huge loss for rudra as his character was important, he was supposed to make shivom united, n viewers loved n accepted Lee as Rudy , now CVS have to find replacement
But it's better that he tries his work n talant in other project rather than being ignored
He is doing great by leaving this shows he already give too much time in being ignored on screen, i wish him luck,
