Because the credit as mentioned in "we" can only go to Shagun and Raman as they are the ones parented Adi and it's not Ishita. Ishita married to Raman for only 2 years and after Adi accepted Ishita as his mother her upbringing or values that were impressed upon him was just for one year only. But what makes it commendable is the values he carried in his heart that were imparted from ishita.. that's what makes his and Ishita bond very special.

In fact today we saw two examples of parenting in the form of Adi and Pihu.. yes Pihu is a child but she is manipulative enough to know whom to approach for her wants and needs. I'm not sure whether Raman realized the stark contrast in his two kids today..the values they have. It's the price Pihu is paying for Raman's impulsiveness and not valuing ishita's value as a mother to Pihu and making Shagun her mother.

And Adi rightfully acknowledging Ishita for her upbringing kudos to that kid.. though she was absent from his life for 7 years he carried her and her values in his heart and it reflected today.

I have been saying it and will say it Raman has a very long way to go even to recognize the injustice he did for Ishita and his kids. And I'm not sure story wise we will ever see it also.
