Guys the story of Beyhadh for me has been always between Ashwin the man and Maya the child. Ashwin the man who has been greedy about money, pretends to love Jhanvi who falls for him, elopes and marry her. But incidentally the money goes to the child that is born to them. A baby girl Maya( At this point I will keep aside Jhanvi's story of Ashwin not wanting the baby or the questions whether Jhanvi is part of Ashwin's plan to destroy Maya, Jhanvi is dumb or not etc.. aside). Now this man tortures this baby girl from child hood. You can say extreme mental harassment. Telling she is mad, she is bad and no one will accept her. Maya the child is frightened, afraid with no one to protect her. The security Jhanvi gave her was false one. Because she allowed the child to suffer again and again.
This went till Maya's 9th birthday. Then on her 9th birthday either Maya 2 happened as we say in MPD or Maya reacted. She decided to become bad and mad for survival. Because that is what she has been told. She is mad and bad. She has done manipulations and many other grey activities to set up the company and run it. But in all those manipulations Maya the child craved for love. She wanted to be loved as a child. She wanted someone to tell her she is good. Not successful. She is good. She can be a friend. But no it didnt happen. Reason the image Maya projected to the world was that she is bad and mad. Everyone was afraid of her.
Even when she lived projecting to the world bad and mad she was afraid of Ashwin. She didnt make relation because she was afraid of losing them and she has to spend time controlling them. Because Maya wants a person for herself. In a way I would say she is a child who never got a toy, think of people like toy with whom she can play. Maya has a need to love. That's why in front of Lord Ganesha she becomes like a 9 year old kid. But Ashwin is her problem and what he has told about her is deeply put in her sub conscious mind.
In Arjun this girl suddenly sees a saviour. A man who can stand against Ashwin. But what Maya doesnt realize is that Ashwin is not a physical challenge, he is an emotional challenge for her. Maya has physically outwitted Ashwin when she stabbed him as a 9 year old. What she couldnt shrug of is the emotional scars Ashwin had given her. That she is mad and bad.
Note the point here Arjun only gives physical protection from Ashwin to Maya. But she takes it as protection, then plays the game of dice. She takes Arjun who gave her physical protection, but what Ashwin does is, he injects the poison he has put into Maya from child hood into Vandana.
Maya wants to close the past. But the poison injected by Ashwin has gone into Vandana's head so much she makes Maya bad and mad, even when Maya falls at her feet. From here starts Maya's journey of again becoming mad and bad. Once again Arjun takes Maya physically from his house and brings her to his house. Again physical protection. Vandana still holds the power in terms of Saanjh. As they are seperated VM injects Ashwin's poison to Saanjh. That it is next Saanjh's turn. Maya at this point has no plans of seperating Saanjh and Arjun. But the poison does affect Saanjh a bit, but not much. She comes and calls Arjun. They both lie to Maya. Do things what they want. Maya is appalled. Her nicelty to Saanjh has been paid back by this. She goes her usual way. Now Saanjh is convinced what VM told is true. Maya is bad and mad. She conveniently forgets the bad and mad Maya burned her hands to protect her. If Maya is bad the most easiest solution for Maya was allow Saanjh to burn, just turn other way when her duppatta catched fire. See this is a very key instance about Maya where her subconscious goodness comes in.
So Maya falls, loses the baby, Saanjh is pushed out by Arjun. But then the poison will be there. Maya is mad and bad. For Maya she tried to be good no one accepted so once again she becomes mad and bad. That's what Ashwin had told her, that is what she should be if she needs to survive. Yes she got Arjun, but she will not be able to trust him. Because she is mad and bad.
So all in all making Maya psychotic Ashwin has succeeded. In the game of dice at this point he has won hands down. Maya is on the path of destruction as she doesnt want to be good, bad and mad works for her.
I dont think Maya has MPD. I strongly believe it is the subconscious thoughts or perceptions that Ashwin drilled into her that is working. The extreme negative image of herself. Also her thought all the fault is her father, her mother is as pure as white. No Jhanvi has her own secrets.
Beyhadh 2 has to show how this man is defeated. What happened to Maya is because of a father called Ashwin and a mother called Vandana. A father and mother has to balance it out. Jhanvi has to be balanced out by someone else. Arjun by someone whom to anyways the poison will reach.
Even now we get only the balance. To destroy the power of Ashwin you need a party who was not there earlier, but plays a major role in Beyhadh 2. A man who can think out of the box. A friend, who can be a shield to Maya till the power of Ashwin is taken royally and brutally. Once that is taken Maya can fight her battle to conclusion.
I was telling Ayan can be Madhav, yes he can, but somewhere I feel the the master manipulator part of Madhav is going to be played by the new entry Piyush Sahdev. Do you know what is the most important quality of Madhav or Krishna. He exposes the hypocrites while he stands in a corner smiling with a twinkle in the eye.
