I recently saw a VM on the forum of Om and Gauri (Actually it's Gauri as ChulBul when she first comes to OM and sees Om). It was on "Mera Dil Bhi Kitana Pagal Hai" but a new female version of the song.
In that VM I realized how beautifully picturised most of not just Om-Gauri, but Om-Chulbul scenes are. Both Kunal and Shrenu look amazing in their respective roles. Kunal just looks smoking hot, and Shrenu looks cute. But in the ChulBul scenes, she has this painful undercurrent of feelings she projects that is just so spot on. In that VM especially I felt the effect of her expressions. The way she is shocked and reacts when she first sees Om. The denial, yet the fascination with him. Shrenu is really very good. The reason why Gauri / ChulBul is being entertained by people is Shrenu I think. She deserves all the credit.
The two of them in one frame has a real heart touching feel to it. Maybe because Om is not your typical "arrogant hero" and Gauri is in disguise. It's like they are their true personalities even under their respective disguises. (Because Om is also in a sort of disguise. Tolerating Svetlana, trying to take charge of everything, pushing aside his emotional trauma about his Mother etc). I don't know how else to describe it. But they have something that just draws me in. It doesn't happen all the time. They have something special. It's them, not the story that is keeping me glued.
