I love this movie and its songs are so awesome: O Re Piye, Ishq Hua, Is Pal Main Hoon, and the introductory English song video/audio of Madhuri : Dance With me.

I find this movie quite engaging and appealing. Much better than some other movies. The team of actors was also awesome. Madhuri-Akshay scene in last , their chemistry and even Madhuri and that actor from west, paired opposite her. Madhuri chemistry with both actors was superb. I don't know why the movie got affected maybe due to that controversy about an offensive word in the title song? Dance was also god of course, since it is Madhuri. But saroj Khan's choreography was missed. Even then, no one can dance like a dream like Madhuri, that you do not want to blink an eye. Just keep on watching her.

I loved the film. The is pal song is also really beautiful & my fav song in the movie. They only played a portion of it in the film (play in the end) so a lot of people don't even know about it.😕

It was implied in the end that Akshay & Madhuri got together, right? 😉 Why else would he visit her in New York?

I love this movie! It was a sweet and touching tale of the magic of art and how it can bring happiness to life. The play in the end is the best adaptation of Romeo and Juliet that BW has made, with no competition. Lovely songs too. Koko and Kunal had such good chemistry. Haha, isn't it hinted at the end that something would eventually happen between Madhuri and Akshaye. With its background, Madhuri was perfect for the role.

I don't know why it didn't work...maybe it came too early, at a time when audience wasn't as receptive to female led movies. Maybe 5 years after it released, it would have done better. I remember people also ended up comparing it to CDI that released a little bit earlier and had a very similar arc, but focused on sports instead.

I agree. The Romeo-Juliet play was the perfect climax of the movie. And I abosolutely adored Kunal and Koko's chemistry!
It came at a time when larger than life, massy entertainers were the "in" thing! It would have done better if it were released after 2011-12. I wonder why critics didn't like it, cos I see them going gaga over movies worse than this one.

music esp ore piya was LOVE
also love hulchul hoi and is pal mein hun

concept was good and konkona sen sharma was BLOODY AWESOME as always.

but to make a movie work..execution and grip is very important..to keep audience glued..that is where it lacked..what could be an engaging movie lacked pace..tests patience and becomes more of a documentary on dance than an enjoyable movie..i blame the director..
