1 : When Their Eyes Met...
She was getting ready for a special occasion. Wearing a simple yet beautiful salwar-suit, which she was wearing only for the second time, she sat in front of the mirror staring at herself. Get ready so well that he will fall for you the moment he sees you... She remembered her friends tell her. Her eyes searched for the photograph that was peeping out from her diary. Her lips curved into a faint smile as she pulled it out. "Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada, let's see what you like!" she said looking at the handsome guy in the photograph, "I will come before you just as I am, a simple girl with simple dreams. I don't know how our meeting will be, neither do I know what will happen after that. But I must say I like you even before meeting you. And who knows, we might have a future together" She blushed at the thought.
"Khushiii?" she heard her mother call her.
"Coming Ma!" she said, quickly slipping the photograph between some random pages of her diary before her mother entered her room.
"Ready beta?" asked her mother, "They will be here any moment from now!"

He stepped down from the car, so did his parents. His dad had offered to drive to the destination. He had decided to meet "Khushi Kumari Gupta", or whatever her name was, just for the sake of his parents. He didn't want to get married any time soon. "Nothing to worry" he told himself, "Just go meet the girl, eat what they give you to eat, have tea, get back home and think of a couple of reasons that strongly support your decision of rejecting the girl". He exhaled in tension as his dad rang the doorbell.

"They are here!" thought Khushi in excitement when she heard the doorbell ring. Her mother hurried out to the drawing room as her father opened the door to welcome their guests. Khushi was in the kitchen arranging the snacks in the plate. She missed a beat hearing the voices from the drawing room. "Will he be as good a person as handsome he is in looks?" thought Khushi to herself. A series of thoughts made way to her mind. "Will I like his voice? What will he ask me? And what should I say? Does he look just as in the photograph?"
She slowly peeped out from behind the kitchen wall to see Arnav. And just then Arnav's gaze met Khushi's. Khushi gasped as she realised she was caught. Embarrassed, she quickly pulled herself behind the wall. Her heart was racing as she stood there pressing her back against the wall. A few moments later, she peeped again to see whether everything was alright. And to her surprise Arnav was staring right into her face and their eyes met yet again. Arnav was probably waiting for Khushi to peep again. He was amused to see Khushi's eyes widen and her jaw drop seeing him looking back at her. The world around seemed to disappear for a moment. It was just him and her. Arnav's smiled unknowingly looking at the girl he had come to reject. Seeing his smile Khushi blushed away. Arnav's smile became wider as he saw her blush. How could he reject her?
Khushi held the corner of her dupatta tightly in her fist, her chest heaving. What was it? What just happened? She couldn't stop blushing. Somewhere she knew he was the one!__________________________
