Mandira agree with you ...Mahek always have that soft spot for SK ...She is ready to trust him N number of times...
But you can't compare SK with your bf 😉 means any normal bf can talk but in reality he won't be taking that step...But MS knows very well that he can actually create a scene there at that time 😛

And more over that scene is for fans... Daily dose of MehRya Scenes 😆😆

Hi! I didn't say i hate Shaurya or anything.. I'm saying his character development wasn't good enough. I mean 5 episodes before he wouldn't even think about her tears or give a shit about how badly he's treating her. And now all of a sudden in just a span of 5 epi he's all lovey dovey. Shaurya at this point needed a big character development but there is none yet.

I do love scenes between them but to be honest it kinda disgust me when Mehak romances with him. I know everyone is different but i just can never imagine coming close to a guy (at least this fast) who was the reason to my family's tears. Maybe m engineered that way.

Wonderful post.👏. I am watching every bit of the show to watch if there is any redemption in his character. But no.. and now it seems to have reached a limit.
Mehek needs to prove her self first to herself and to her family of what she is capable of.
Kanta's Character is awesome...

Mehak for some reasons reminds me of one of those characters you yell at in a horror movie. You know that idiot character who goes down to the basement, instead of running out and calling for help, just to make sure no one is there.

The best comparison ever. 👏 How beautifully u said it. Worth reading post dear. Agree.

U echoed my thoughts in same words run in my mind when I watch such scenes. Apart from comparing it with the show u said exactly what I think about horror movies too. 😆

If the characters of the show start behaving sensibly, then how will the story move forward? 😆

I see your point Rekha but I disagree.

Isn't life about growth? Just because that's how Mehek is, it can't be used as an excuse for her to continue living the same way. She herself decided to leave him. No one pressured her to do so. Shouldn't she now stick to her decision & focus on her own life? Did the experience with Shaurya teach her nothing at all that she's back to being manipulated by him. If she wants Shaurya she should proclaim it loud & go back to him. I hate that she's saying one thing & doing another. I don't buy her conflict anymore because she's no longer the meek, docile girl in the beginning of the show. She showed enough of a healthy ego IMO in letting her family know what she wanted & moving in with Shaurya.

Regarding Shaurya, I refuse to believe he is in love. Not because love has to be patient, kind & can't be selfish etc. The answer lies very much in the point you made - he doesn't care for her wishes & respect her. He is so blinded by his own need for her because she was the only one who willingly stayed by him that he couldn't even see her scars when she left him. All he saw was his own hurt & his own need to have her back so that he could unleash his frustrations on her. Even the most egoistic of people, when in love, are moved by their partner's tears & pain. Did he even think about her pain & what she said once? NO. Because he loves himself & can't see beyond himself. The physical attraction he feels towards her is there for sure. But attraction is not love. Shaurya anyway from the start has been established to be a very physical person who expresses more physically than with words.

Yes and growth is what I wish they show in both of them. For me, its not about mahek teaching a lesson or extracting a revenge from him, but these two people bound by an unusual bond that is beyond all logic, learning from one another. Love is that bond. Trust and respect are important for any relationship, but I don't confuse them with love. For example, i love my son to death but I don't trust him one bit, because he is not mature enough to make good choices. In a few more years he will grow up and earn that trust. Empathy is also something we learn. It doesn't come naturally to everyone and people don't empathize equally with everyone. Empathy depends on the people or issues we relate to. I believe that Shaurya has empathy, but he learnt to fight it off over the years as his bitter early childhood experiences taught him that people prey on you if you have a soft heart. Its not attraction or purely physical need that he has for mahek. Clearly, he is surrounded by prettier and sexier women, but his heart just craves the brief companionship they shared, even though its neither complete nor ideal. Him being physically expressive doesn't make me think that he is only sexually attracted to her. Only thing that reaches him is selfless love that his mother showers on him. He can't see his mother suffer even a little bit. Now mahek also fell into that category for him. In his drunk state he clearly said he loves her, just that he doesn't want to look weak and lovesick when he is in his conscious state.

That doesn't mean that a girl should enter into a relationship with such a guy and spend the rest of her life waiting for him to grow up. That's why I didn't like mahek living with him and suffering his insults after half marriage. I am glad that she walked out on him. I would like him to face all the situations he put mahek through to understand her pain, because sometimes we don't understand what the other person felt until we go through a similar situation. When i was young and immature I didn't understand the pain a mother goes through when something happens to her child. I used to laugh at such melodramatic scenes in movies. I understand better now because i went through such situation with my son. Shaurya needs life experiences that will teach him to be kind, forgiving and less selfish.

Though Mahek did fight to save her relationship with Shaurya, that is something she did only partially for herself. I say partially because it equally involves Shaurya. She clearly said that she wishes to teach him love. So we can't say that she went there for herself. She went there because she felt that he deserves love and she is capable of giving it. She has always been extremely selfless. She put up with dadaji who used to blame her for her parents death and say really nasty things to her. She still cared for him enough to agree to marry Ajay for his zidd. If she has a healthy ego, she should let neither Shaurya nor Kantha to make decisions of her life. She has not reached that point yet. She lets them make decisions for her because she wants them to be happy because of her. The only time she did something for herself was when she joined KD's hotel.

Point taken. Agree with you there. Have a question, though, what do you want Mehek to do now that she's left him?

The title of the show is "Zindagi Ki Mahek" right? Honestly the reason i started this show was because unlike many (way too many) other show titles, this one didn't had anything to do with love. I thought it was about her and her struggles in life and how she picks herself up after winds knock her down. Obviously i was in a big surprise but i liked it none the less. I mean it was cliche but i liked Mehak. I thought she is a feminist.

So after the wind knocked her down, i wanted her to pick herself up. Shit happens with everyone.. but you move on. I wanted her to become something (she's shown to be such a good cook) instead of a puppet. Love isnt everything in life.. I'm not saying it's nothing but a lot of people are subjected to heartbreaks and i wanted this show to portray that a women life doesn't only revolves around love.
I guess i was just tired of all the shows that showed women to be such a weak person who is ready to bear every stones thrown her way. I mean cmon, they should show a girl who is ready to pick all the stones and throw it back with the same velocity.

@Samriddhi
I want her to live her life on her terms and not buckle under pressure from either Shaurya or Kantha. I want her to question him and make him look into himself and be answerable for the deeds he does. She is doing that, though not all the time, because she is a bit torn like any human.

@Mandira
I don't blame you for having expectations like any of us. The show title as you say, is "zindagi ki mahek" , which means "aroma of life". Since the beginning of the show, the juxtaposed her life against Shaurya's life and kinda implied that she will eventually be the "aroma of his bland life". So I expected that. I never watch anything other than love stories😊. I love women standing up for themselves, but for me it doesn't necessarily have to be like mahila mukti morcha stuff all the time. There is a need for that in some cases, but a lot of times we can get the point across without all that drama, especially when delicate relationships are involved.
