JNDSD~ My take~Thursday 16.3.17 ~ The best kept secrets..

It's about something engagingly famous or infamous , yet less known publically. From the episode pointof view. Glaringly evident are Madhav's sudden bad turns. The recent one being seemingly a case of food poisoning. Vividha as his mother reckons someone fed him disagreeable stuff responsible for her son's currant condition. But who? Is the best kept secret ,an insider? as opposed to an outsider. Finally today, Vividha refers to the possibility of black magic being practiced upon her son. Ravish as a product of new age thinking, discourages such an irrational mindset. Vividha clearly shows signs of deep distress at the hospital , understandably at a loss to grasp the cause of her child's symptoms.

The hospital provides Vividha good enough reason to return home and go through her boy's satchel, searching for Madhav's comfort toy. The search for a comforter, causes discomfiture to Vividha as she comes across evidence of black magic, smelly deposits of something? at the bottom of Madhav's milk glass. Already Vividha begins to form opinions of some unconfirmed facts about the suspected person.. there is one who comes to her mind. One whom her Madhav showed dislike to, in the past till date.A typically family scenario Uma, Sujata, dadi inundate Vividha with questions about Madhav's condition in hospital. Also in show of typical supportive family backing they return to the hospital with Vividha.

Vivdha returns to the hospital engulfed by a gambit of emotions. Confident enough to challenge Ravish for dismissing her off as being superstitious! Seeing her son in hospital will make her fly off the handle! she makes her point to Ravish ,her son has been a victim of evil powers! Ones that even actively tried to poison him..

What happens next can perhaps be seen as an outcome of two parents under duress for their child in hospital? It's blame game by Vividha , openly blaming Suman for being the suspect involved. Cruelly but prompted by her maternal instincts ,Vividha forcibly makes good use of her argumentative skills to prove to Ravish .. a best kept secret! that Suman gives off offensive, strange negative energy which actively has an adverse effect on Madhav This is the moment when Suman's son Ravish ,turns a hard liner rationalist. Reminds Vividha that all her collection of evidence against his mother has logical explanations. The dark brown residue in the glass may well be cocoa. In fact Ravish point blank makes it known to Vividha before Uma,Sujata and dadi , that all she has is not strong enough proof to surmise that his mother is behind Madhav's condition ! But overall , for me the outcome of this seemingly ,falling out between Vividha and Ravish is significant as..Ravish too like Vividha will be on high alert regards his mothers moves. Not just for Madhav's safety, but also either to accept his mother as guilty, or to avenge Suman's image as being not guilty! Also with regards to Vividha and Ravish's relationship.. this exchange and challenge of views perhaps draws them closer as friends?

A revived Madhav certainly brings them together again. Ravish perhaps breathes a sigh of relieve that the secret of his mother Suman is still kept, as Madhav with his typical resilience has bounced back.

But the stars are forever changing and moving to the callings of destiny. Seems the time approaches now when the best kept secret is made public, strategically to save a life of a young one. Madhav is diagnosed with some rare genetic disease which will gradually eat away his immune system. For further prognosis the hospital wants the father's DNA.. Ravish is compelled by Sujata to go for the test.. Ravish and Vividha already appear anxious it is their best kept secret, about to become public? It's interesting Madhav and his toy at the hospital. For me it's the one confirmed comforter he lacks. His real father.. what he has, is Ravish , a warm ,loving replacement ,a role model of a dad.. in place of his father, but biologically not his father..

Ravish and Vividha cannot further make a mockery of the blessing called Madhav! So now the hour approaches, when the best kept secret is out in the open before all those who matter to the heart. With mixed emotions the family receive this revelation. Atharv and not Ravish is Madhav's biological father. Atharv is seen as the absent father, whether or not on account of his fault. Ravish on the other hand is deemed to be the man of honour who knowingly accepted Vividha in her condition. Vividha is seen as the girl who loved Atharv ,not ashamed being with his child. I think Vividha was truthful about her condition, and in return she too was blessed that not just a stranger, but her Atharv's own brother ,Ravish covered her head with the mantle of his protection. Madhav as a person has found his strength. As he stands immune to social stigma's of being discriminated as a fatherless child, without legitimate identity.

Suman returns home earlier than expect and happy too! She reckons all good things will happen now! Makes me wonder, has she tipped the doctor into saying what he came out with? Does she want Vividha to come looking for Atharv for DNA sample to save her boy's life? Would Suman want that? Probably not, as she wants them apart especially before the full moon night! But one thing is for sure things the constellation of the stars appear ominous.. many a best kept secret will be brought to surface.

The episode to me also touches upon the next of kin, relationships of the maternal and paternal figures in the characters lives.. we have the mother son bond between Vividha and Madhav a young needy boy who needs his mother readily. We have Madhav and Ravish in the roles of foster father and son. We have Suman and Ravish , as the son who has now suspects his mother Suman. We have Uma, Vividha a mother and daughter who now accept things as they turned out to be. Lastly we have Sujata , Vividha , Atharv.. Suman the graceful, stoic mother , who has no news about her son..but nevertheless is pleased to welcome Atharv once more in her life ,in the form of Madhav... in fact the last best kept secret will be out tomorrow..when Vividha confesses to knowing Atharv's whereabouts! How much more will Vividha let out ? or will she with hold some worst secrets ?? hamlet53 17.3.17

awesome analysis hammie, u dedicated this take to relationships, i loved ur ending para the most. the best thing about ur take is u celebrate the story, n not the couples, so even if the episode gets boring, u change our vision towards any scene and it becomes enjoyable.

It didnt come as a shock that madhav is atharva's son.but yes the sacrifice ravish made really touch the heart.this man takes all the respect what he deserves. gave name to a son, here a son is trying to make things right where his own mother caused a havoc.it will b interesting when ravish will face suman, and madhav will face vividha.waiting for that day.

today's episode was shocking at places where the payelwali was enjoying touching atharva.who this payelwali is, really excited to know.

keep writing hammie, u r a true magician.

Hey Hammie <3
As usual it is beautifully written.

I do not agree that Ravish will now be on high alert regarding his mother, because he truly does not see anything wrong with her. As per Ravish, Suman is the same mother who was willing to do anything for his happiness as such he does not want to think she can be wrong, despite the evidence presented to him, in what I deemed to have been a coherent argument formulated by Vividha.

Vividha's constant *MY SON...YOUR MOTHER...MY HOUSE* highlighted just where Ravish stood for her. She expected understanding from him, instead he rebuked her thoughts, telling her to rest, as if it was time to rest when her son was battling between life and death. I would argue that this might draw them even further apart.

Interesting question re Suman's involvement and re the tipping of the doctor. I didn't think of that. However, I highly doubt that this will be the case as her aim is to keep VITHARV away from each other, and had she known this would have been a consequence of her action, she would have taken another path, am sure.

I do not accept that a woman needs a man's name to raise her child so society will not taunt her. It is this type of social norms that the makers ought to tackle as they did with Atharv and his mother in phase 1 but alas failed miserably in this phase. Vividha stood there in shame when Sujata questioned her as to why she lied. However, I can understand why Vividha lied but she disappointed me as has Sujata. The reason is because both of their lies have ruined their lives to a point of almost no return.

Again nicely written. I seemed to have presented a different POV entirely...sozz!😆

-----------------

Just wanted to understand the part where you used the word real father...Lack of comfort...

How easy is that to use a word like replacement for the person who was beside the kid as his father! Is it that easy and shallow! Is such words are being used because apparently Atharv was not at fault hence using such words become easy or it should be used in every case.

A person who left his to be wife, not knowing that she is going to be a mother,is the real father and the person who for four years fostered the child is just a replacement. The baby who survived for four years lacks comfort and needs real father! For what,DNA!What if the father is actually no more! Then also the child needs real father!A father who is not real can never take that place! Is that the thought process!

And how exactly one decide who is real and who not real father!Sperm!Thats it!

Poor woman who get raped and have to bring the child in this world. They lack the real father. And no one can actually take the real father's place.

Hey Hammie fantastic n profound take onve again..though short n sweet bt precise n crisp fr me... ohhh yeaaa best kept secrets..which wer no more secrets at least fr us viewers..

Vividha's blame game was endearing n the way she confronted Ravish was absolutely impressive. . She seems a warrior mother to me then who can go to any extent fr her child's safety..I completely agree that has actually open up Ravish's eyes.. at least he won't be completely blind towards his mother's darkest deeds..

I now reckon even Suman's aware of these secrets obviously told to her by her jantar mantar mentor... she was well aware of that fact that Madhav was vashisht bt not of Ravish's or else y wud she tried to kill the boy...

Okk it was an interesting thought all these inherited disorder things cud hav been suman's brain child..bt I do think otherwise... It's suman's loss only if Vitharv's comes face to face anyway.. bt the possiblity cannot be ruled out completely as she's been involved in these sort of manipulation in past also...

The inherited disorder theory has always been the safest option in serials fr the paternity confirmation. .the tried n tested formula..😛 although I wud liked to discuss it with chhoti in full details abt the credibility of disorder. .😆

bt it seems Ravish was all ok with it n he was jst there to support vividha as A FRIEND onli n more than that to fulfil his elder brother's responsibility. 😃

thnk u so much hammie fr such a balanced take fr an epi which has created an expected havoc on MF.. luv u fr that..!!😳

its characters essentially through their experiences that give relevance to the basic plot.. yes .I tend to feel characters bothpostive and negative..from my view which might not be others pov..

yes it is most awaited when Ravish's worst nghtmare comes true.. what a pity..here to me he maintains the family's honour and his mother is like dry rot gnawing.. t the foundation of his family

Hammie the only best kept secret till now was that you and your awesome writing is now discovered by one and all, read and loved by all...

Vividha with her motherly instincts realizes right away that someone is trying to hurt her son, and Ravish of course sticks to his thinking that nothing would make him believe that his mother could be behind this...

History is repeating here, before it took half the season for Atharva to convince this same Vividha that her father was as devious as he knew and saw and here it is Ravish that refuses to believe that his mother could be capable of such underhanded tricks...

Vivdha has already told Ravish what her father did to her and coerced her into marrying the wrong man by blackmailing her and nearly killing Athava in that process...and I can understand that at first it would be hard for Ravish to believe that his mother is also as diabolical as her father.. but dismissing her worry so casually is not right either...

Vividha and her secret that Madhav is Atharva's son is out and everyone is thankful that Ravish married her knowing her secret... Ravish had his own feelings for Vividha and it was not hard for him, like before to stay close to Vividha hoping that one day she will love him too, just like she loves his half brother...
Wishful thinking but cannot blame him either...

I do not put it past S-Suman to buy the Doctor out to inform the family that he is dire need to
survive and needs a DNA sample , but then why would S-Suman do that when all this time she has tried her best to keep them both as far away from each other as possible...??

Vividha could have seen the best example that has been in front of her in Sujata in how she alone brought up her son alone and raised him with good values and principles ... she did not have to marry Ravish in anger, when she could have told the truth and raised Madhav by herself and not be obligated to the Ravisht family and crazy S-Suman...

Vividha lying that she had seen Atharva is another mistake Vividha made in not letting Sujata know that her beloved son is still alive and living with another woman...Misunderstandings are the norm for serials, but this constant lying to save someone from hurt always ends up hurting them more by lying and proves to widen the rifts...
What a tangled web with weave..when first we practice to deceive ... comes to mind...

Hammie, thank you for your great take, always a pleasure to read ...

Take care, wish you all good things free of secrets...

well it wont be easy.. not easy to suspect one's mother.. but his awareness is raised nevertheless..
Vividha's constant *MY SON...YOUR MOTHER...MY HOUSE* highlighted just where Ravish stood for her. She expected understanding from him, instead he rebuked her thoughts, telling her to rest, as if it was time to rest when her son was battling between life and death. I would argue that this might draw them even further apart.
possibly... but both would be silly to take it to heart.. vividha hopefully realizes they share a bond of friendship.. but I can see what you mean.. Ravish can lose the plot
Interesting question re Suman's involvement and re the tipping of the doctor. I didn't think of that. However, I highly doubt that this will be the case as her aim is to keep VITHARV away from each other, and had she known this would have been a consequence of her action, she would have taken another path, am sure.
ohh for sure.. but she is confident all will be good.. meaning the Holi, episode.. vividha's misunderstanding .seeing Atharv with gargi..etc..
I do not accept that a woman needs a man's name to raise her child so society will not taunt her. It is this type of social norms that the makers ought to tackle as they did with Atharv and his mother in phase 1 but alas failed miserably in this phase. yes.. that's true, but it depends on the social structures in place for single mothers and dads! for that matter.. I believe it should be about the child's stability .. women can and do raise children without parteners..but if offered committed security .. and existing family name.. I see no issues in vividha marrying ravish.. now it appears too right seeing Atharv moved on.. why?? and that vividha still has a atharv size gap in her life.. is what the story about.. big question being.. should vividha have stayed as a single mother and reared her child on her own.. without marrying Ravish??? does destiny and circumstances play part in decisions we make..?
Again nicely written. I seemed to have presented a different POV entirely...sozz!😆
here gimme a high five mate.. yippeee! you didnt lose your post! love your views..we agree to disagree Julie...😃 much love hammie

hello mate,good to see you..

Just wanted to understand the part where you used the word real father...Lack of comfort...
as in the biological match.. since its brought up with the DNA.. spanner inthe works.
How easy is that to use a word like replacement for the person who was beside the kid as his father! Is it that easy and shallow! Is such words are being used because apparently Atharv was not at fault hence using such words become easy or it should be used in every case.
totally respect how a foster father feels ,when one fine day the childrens!.." real dad turns up..its a live scenario .. a day to day happening where I live..
Is that the thought process!
what you point out is valuable indeed.. to me this is what constitues the current turbulence in the track.. that Ravish.. may not be the biological father ,but in no way can his role of being the father figure can be denied.. perhaps Madhav himself can speak for how he sees Ravish till date..
And how exactly one decide who is real and who not real father!Sperm!Thats it!
well I have a feelling.. that both ravish and vividha will have quite a job on their hands .. when they tell Madhav the truth about Atharv whenever it happens.. goes without saying that the child's welfare.. emotional has to be kept in mind.
Poor woman who get raped and have to bring the child in this world. They lack the real father. And no one can actually take the real father's place
Women who suffer and are victims of sexual assault , are the vulnerable ones in society . How they are supported along with their child which they chose to bring into the world ,for whatever reasons? is the responsibility of the law and social systems set up in the land.
lovely to hear from you mate..hammie is pleased you came to share your valuable views.. we agree to disagree..😃.. lets us then you and I keep watching the show.. love hammie
