Actually she did confirm that Harry lost the ability to speak Parseltoungue, on , Jul 30, 2007, a Bloomsbury Live Chat with J.K. Rowling.

"Nigel: Can Harry speak Parseltongue when he is no longer a horcrux?

J.K. Rowling: No, he loses the ability, and is very glad to do so."

Oh and here's the confirmation from her that AD understood Parseltoungue.

"Delailah: How does Dumbledore understand Parseltongue?

J.K. Rowling: Dumbledore understood Mermish, Gobbledegook and Parseltongue. The man was brilliant."

I think I understand how he could los the ability. I mean it was never his to begin with. The ability was always part of Voldermort, never a part of Harry. Harry was only able to understand it because Voldermort in essesse lived within him.

^^^If that ability was never part of Harry, Harry cud never have used Parseltongue to try Save Justin or when he opened Chamber of Secrets..
It was ability..Only if its ur Ability can u use it to ur own accordance...
If it was the ability of Voldmeort inside Harry, then it must only mean hat it was Voldmeort inside Harry speaking Parseltongue whenever Harry did...

I think Harry sumhow got that ability during that exchange of souls that horriffic Night Voldmeort tried to Kill him but ended up spliting his already teeny obit left of his soul! Thus as far as I can stretch my understanding, It doesnt make sense why Harry loses an Ability which he knows he pocesses just bcoz there is no longer a bit of Voldy in him...Its kinda wierd😕

thnk as if it was a power in him...he had d power...but aftr his looses his connection wid voldy dat power got destoyed

JKR said in her interview that Harry loses his ability to speak Pasrletongue as the part of Voldemrt's soul inside him was destroyed..... 😭 😭

ability cant b destroyed...it can b lost due 2 own faults

but power can b destroyed wich is exactly wat happnd wid harry
