I'm extremely sorry for the delay in posting this, I had planned to update a long time back but somehow the ending was just not coming out right. Anyway, without further ado, here's part 6 and the last part of this story. Hope you'll like this :) Please ignore any spelling or typing errors!!

Annika's heart leapt at the sound of the door bell and even before she had opened the door she knew who it'd be. And yet she was still shocked at the sight before her.

In the morning she had said her goodbyes to a confident, suave, impeccably dressed man who was in control of everything that was happening around him. The Shivaay Singh Oberoi that stood before her now had the disheveled look of a man who had gone through a war. His shirt was tousled, and the edges hung unevenly over his pants. His hair was a mess and fell all over his forehead. But the worst part about him were his eyes. They were weary and had retreated into the shadow of their hollow sockets; the blue iris had lost its shine and had almost turned greyish. But as soon as she stepped out from behind the door, and they took her whole form in, the colour shifted and it was as if a dead person had come back to life. She noticed the conspicuous flicker in his eyes as they turned moist and she could feel her own eyes start to sting too. She raised her hand to touch his out of old habit, to tell him it'd be okay and then realised it was not her place to do so anymore and let it fall back. He furrowed his brows. Om and Rudra stood by silently as they watched this wordless exchange of emotions.

Finally it was Annika who spoke. "Shivaay what are you doing here? I saw everything on the TV. Tia ne itna raita phailaya hai...You should be home, with your family now!"

"Raita Tia ne nahi, maine phailaya hai," Shivaay replied in a pained voice and she gasped a little in surprise as she always did when he used her language. "We need to talk, please." He added solemnly. She looked at him for a while. "Come in," she said finally and the four of them moved into the living room of her house.

"Come back with me Annika," said Shivaay, coming straight to the point.

"Why?" she asked, looking into his eyes.

"Because I need you!"

"But why? Tia is out of your life, and you're divorced in front of the world now. I have no purpose in your life anymore."

"You really think it's that easy, after all we've been through? Is it that easy for you?"

Annika paused for a moment. "What I think doesn't matter Shivaay. You've signed the divorce papers and..."

"But I didn't!" Shivaay exploded, cutting her off and Annika took a staggering step back. "What?"

Shivaay moved closer to her and held her hand. "I told you that you're important to me," he said softly, his eyes holding her gaze intently.

"But you signed them in front of my own eyes!" She protested feebly. Shock and disbelief coloured her features. "I saw you. You signed them in front of my eyes!" She repeated forcefully.

"I didn't. I had to act as if I did, though. I had to take care of the situation back then, and Mrs. Kapoor had backed me into a corner with Om's..." he trailed off as a look of comprehension set into her eyes. "I never meant to hurt you like that. But I had to, and I'm so sorry Annika," he put his hands around her face, "I've lost a lot of things today, don't make me lose my wife too, Annika. Come back with me. I shouldn't have let you go in the first place."

"My wife" The words sent a shiver down her spine. How she has longed to hear those two very words from his mouth! She could not hold down the tears anymore and her lips trembled as she tried to find words in vain. Shivaay shook his head in disapproval and started rubbing off the tears. "Will you come back?" he asked after a few moments had passed. She nodded.

"Yaay! Bhabhi is coming back with us," cheered Rudra. Shivaay and Annika jumped a little at this, having all but forgotten about the three spectators in the room. Annika smiled through her tears. Sahil, Omkara and Rudra clapped and cheered in unison.

Shivaay looked back at her and rubbed away the drops of water running down her cheeks. "I know it's not easy for you, Annika. The way our wedding happened, it was not the ideal wedding and there are still a lot of issues to be resolved between us. But we'll do it together, and I promise I'll never let you down again," he spoke solemnly, holding her right hand between his. She put her other hand on his and nodded. "We'll do it together," she agreed.

EPILOGUE:

Three weeks had passed since the fateful press conference put the Oberois to shame. There was much ruckus among the media and business community as the shocking revelation spread like wildfire. Stocks fell, protests were organised by women empowerment NGOs and justice was demanded. And then finally, justice was served.

It was Annika who had come up with the observation. The CCTV footages of the resort in Lonavala all show Tia and Robin going in but there was not one picture of them leaving together. "And anyway, the three of us were there and we did not see that man anywhere. If he went in with her, how come no one saw him after that? How could he disappear? Kuch toh raita pahilaya hai uss Tia ne waha," she had spoken in her characteristic tone and OmRu had supported her. Something was fishy.

So Shivaay set his PI on work again and he did not have to try much harder this time. Nikhil Tiwari, the waiter who had helped Tia smuggle out Robin's dead body from the pool and into Tia's car that evening broke down and owned up after a little interrogation and was handed over to the police. The story was clear - Tia had murdered her own husband. Shivaay was acquitted and all charges were dropped against him. Tia was sent to jail and Mrs. Kapoor was convicted as well for being an accomplice in hiding her daughter from the law and for helping her frame the Oberois.

When the four of them left the court together that evening after the final judgement was passed, a swarm of reporters surrounded them. Shivaay pulled Om closer and whispered something into his ear. Om nodded and asked the reporters to come with him. "I'll answer all your questions on behalf of the Oberois," he said. Annika was surprised as Shivaay took her hand and led her away from the crowd.

"Thank you, Annika," Shivaay said with emotion as soon as they were alone. She looked at him and smiled. "You're welcome!"

They started walking towards the parking space. "Annika," he spoke broodingly after a moment. Annika stared at him. "I'm a single man now. That is, at least in front of the whole world. Right?"

Her brows furrowed in confusion. She could not understand where this was leading. "Yeah..." she shrugged.

"So since I'm single, I had something on my mind. I want to ask you something."

"What?"

"Will you marry me?" He asked abruptly.

She froze mid-stride. He turned around and faced her. "That is, if you don't have problem with marrying a divorced man," he added with a dry laugh. She was gaping at him, her eyes wide. His face turned serious. "Annika," he shook her a little by the shoulders. "Hey, I asked you something!"

She gulped. "Shivaay..."

"That's not an answer," he spoke promptly.

She studied his face intently. His eyes were gleaming with anticipation. His lips were curved into a smile but she could see he was serious. He raised an eyebrow. "Annika?"

"Yes," she whispered at last. Colour rose to her cheeks. "Yes!" She said again, louder this time.

His face was glowing. He put his hand into the inside pocket of his suit and pulled out a small box. Annika's eyes went wide as she recognised it. He flipped open the lid and brought out the two silver bangles. "Will you wear these?"

He remembered! The emotions that stirred inside her overwhelmed and choked her, so this time she could not speak. Instead she just nodded exuberantly, and let him slide the bangles into her right hand. He held her hand for a long moment as his eyes savoured the sight before him. "Beautiful," he whispered, finally looking up at her face. Her eyes shone with emotion.

OmRu caught up to them as they stood hand in hand. "Kya chal raha hai yaha?" Rudra asked, narrowing his eyes.

"We're getting married. In a month's time," Shivaay replied noncommittally.

"Oh okay," Rudra nodded and took a step forward, then stopped with a jerk and turned around. "What!" he exclaimed dramatically, putting his hands around his cheeks. The other three started laughing at his gaping face.

"Firse?" He asked confused.

"Yes, since thanks to my first wife who turned out to be a cheat and murderer, I'm divorced and single again," Shivaay chuckled. "It's time we announce our relationship to the whole world. We've had enough of these games," he added more seriously looking into her eyes.

"Well, congratulations, to both of you," said Om, smiling widely. Rudra crushed Shivaay with a bear hug. "Finally billu aur billi ka milan poore duniya ke saamne hoga," he said.

Annika blushed. Shivaay smacked him on the head. "Kuch bhi bolta hai tu, dumb-bell Oberoi!" Everyone laughed as Rudra gasped.

They settled into the car and Rudra started talking animatedly, delving into the details of what they'd do and what they'd wear at the wedding. Om listened to him, reciprocating his excitement, smiling all the time and adding his own ideas.

In the front seat, Shivaay and Annika sat looking at each other, lost in their blissful little world. Annika smiled fondly remembering her wise friend's words:

Ishqbaazi hogi, aur takkar ki hogi...

Aur jisdin yeh ishbaazi shuru hogi, ussdin yeh bangles pehen na and remember me...

Shivaay too was probably thinking about the same words because he reached out and softly touched the bangles. His fingers traced the contours of the bangles, then he deliberately let them brush against her skin. She shivered a little at his touch; then looked away shyly. The last rays of the sun fell on her skin and intensified the colour that had risen up her cheeks, and he could feel his own breathing quicken.

"Ahem, I hate to spoil the moment but shall we go home now?" asked Omkara, breaking into his reverie. He jumped and Annika blushed harder, her cheeks turning almost crimson as OmRu winked at each other. "I mean, you guys can have all the time you want, but I really need to finish this statue I'm working on," he added, putting up his hands innocently in front of him.

"Areh O, they already have all the time in the world. Yeh kaha bhaag rahe hai, yeh bandhan toh janmo ka bandhan hai," Rudra added. Om started laughing again and the brothers gave each other high fives. Annika was looking away on the other side but he could see her face twitch with the hint of a smile.

"Tum dono na..." Shivaay shook his head and rolled his eyes at his brothers' jokes, a little embarrassed and at a loss for words. Smiling to himself, he started the engine but kept his fingers interlaced with hers. Their ishqbaaazi had started, and though they still had a long way to go - they knew they'd make it as long as they were together.

THE END.
