Tbh, after seeing the epi yesterday, I was relieved yes but I was also annoyed because Daksh spoilt my mood screaming mistress a billion times and I felt terrible for my girl before Billu finally manned up and had the courage to give her her rightful place as his wife, a basic respect that every good husband bestows on his wedded wife...
Frankly after watching it the first time I just skipped that part as I did not want to hear that word one more time. And Daksh did not deserve my attention. 🤢

But then, I rewatched the epi again...and again...and then rewatched the last 8 min and 21 seconds another few times and I had to give credit to Billu...for the very passionate way he declared the fact to the whole world!! The man definitely has style, and his dialogues were so heartfelt too...

Lets just say that he made up for all the times he rejected their relationship and all the times he hesitated to call her his wife, in private and in public. I only wish Dadi was there to see and witness this wonderful change in her grandson. I guess her prayers are paying off ...lol

The man never does things halfway!! He declared her his wife, 'HIS' 'WIFE' and gave her his name, told her that she was a part of his family and his strength and even gave a dire warning to everyone present that NOONE should even dare mess with her or hurt her because she was his pride!!
No he never does things by half measures and that is what I love about Shivvay. He may take his time and think it over, almost like a ruminating cow, but when he does decide it is a commitment he keeps. That is why I am happy that he thought this through before he accepted her because I do not want her heart broken in the future. It was better that he took his time and was sure, rather than making the decision under pressure only to avert the scandal.
His declaration was a sure thing that he had been feeling for a long time and I think Daksh's stunt just proved to be the last push in that direction. Unfortunately Daksh did not take into account how much Annika meant to Shivvay even after his witnessing Shivvay's desperation at her near death experience. He was also playin his game with a borrowed hand. Prinku was not his hand to play and that back fired miserably.

I am falling more in love with Shivika even as I write!! So thanks for your incredibly feely post Asya!!

The media are like blood thirsty wolves and they bound in when they smell fresh blood. That is what happened here as well. This was after all Shivvay Singh Oberoi who always ranted about NKK (as one reporter said) so for him to have a mistress was like making the headlines. He knew they would not let up and if Annika had walked out they would have hounded her no matter where she went. That would have been a fate worse than death for her.

Anyway, I wish he'd said it thoraaa sa jaldee becaus Anika was really getting hammered left, right and center. Also, wanted Anika to speak out a bit more. But those are just very, very minor details I'm nit-picking.

I feel, while Daksh was the trigger of his declaration, he said it only and only for Anika. It began as something he was saying to defend her (and Oberois) but it turned into something else completely. Ahista ahista, as he, lost in her eyes, walked towards her, it was as if the whole world just faded away until there was only him and Anika in the room and he was saying everything he had kept inside of him since the day he saved her from that creep. He, too, was beginning to believe it more and more as he said it to her. No wonder they started to have a private convo right in front of them media - nobody else in the room existed - as if these two were the entire universe.
His NKK had been dying a slow and unrecognized death for a long time now, I had been saying it to people but of course it does not matter now. Shivvay just did not know that it had been choking and dying, because, unknown to him, his pride and respect for Annika as his wife had been filling that void that NKK was leaving behind.
The day he said "Jo bhi Annika Pe ungli uthayega ..." was the day the Family became aware that Annika had been slowly replacing his NKK.

Mujh per bharosa nahee hai? Tumhair izzat, meri izzat! The dialogues today were khidkitor. Wish they'd tonned down a bit on the BG music. I wanted something lighter - but again - I'm only nit-picking here 😆

I can't wait for them to be left alone, now. <3 I want Anika to tease him... Ask him to say it once more and for billu to go all "sab ke samney daanka peet diya, sun'na nahee tumney?" OR Billu teasing Anika, instead. Both situations are good for me! But just leave them alone, Godammit! (I hope they don't skip this part)
Me too. This is a non stop roller coaster ride and the CV's really need to give us a well deserved break with some light romantic scenes before they hit us with the next big one. This is getting very very nail biting and exhausting for me.😕

He probably went "Here Buddy! ", in his head to Daksh, "Just returning the huge favor you did me the day i got married." lol , look closely and you will see Billu actually flinch when she slaps Daksh. The memory still fresh in his head that 'meri Annika' can really 'baajoo' a guy if she wants to.😆

So where does NKK stand now?
In general IDK,but where Annika is concerned - nowhere, as she is now officially Mrs. Annika Shivvay Singh Oberoi and comes under his protection and his name. He said as much that anyone who thinks about hurting her or breaking her heart better think a 1000 times because otherwise 'Shivvay Singh Oberoi se bura koi nahi hoga". Her izzat is his so she has replaced the NKK in his life that ruled over him.
She got one of her wishes"Jiske liye mein number 1 hun"

When the promo first came out, and up until yesterday, I thought billu was just going to say it because he didn't want Anika to be insulted so publicly, and also because he didn't want tamasha at his house. But after today, I'm convinced he actually believes it himself (unless writers intend to do another flip 😆). The determination in his eyes has me convinced that he plans to stand by every word he uttered today.
He did not say what he said to avoid a scandal because if that was the case he would have stopped at 'Annika meri Biwi hai' and left it at that. That would have shut the media up. But he wanted to elevate his wife back to her rightful pedestal that she had been so cruelly knocked down from because of the disgusting accusations that went with her announced as his mistress. He needed to make this right because she was 'Shivvay Singh Oberoi's lawful wife and hence his izzat'

He did not have to go into what she meant to him and how important she was to him.What he wanted to impress upon the world were the words he started out with, "Jo humare beech hai woh humara hai, sirf aur sirf humara"

So is NKK dead? with respect to Annika??!!! Yep. It had died a long time ago BTW😆

I don't think so. It has taken a HUGE HIT today. Like a big, big blow. SSO declaring a middle-class nobody as his wife in front of one and all - literally parading his feelings around - is a big step forward for a NKK-obsessed Shivaay.
NKK is still alive and kicking. NKK v/s Mrs. Shivvay Singh Oberoi's is DEAD. It is now in second place where SHE is concerned.

Still, the issue hasn't been brought to the forefront as a major track yet. I'm guessing once Anika's past comes forward (and I'm convinced it has something to do with the Oberois - possibly something Anika's ancestors/parents did to them. This'll be the 2nd big test. This is where we'll truly see it's death.
Either her past or Shivvay's from what I hear. I do not know if the spoilers are true.

For now, Shivaay has pushed it to the very back of his mind. He knows it's there in his head but he's refusing to face the "mother-of-his-kids" reality for now.
err... at the risk of not having this thread closed, I beg to differ. That is a completely different show as far as I am concerned right now and I do not mix the two TBH

"Kyun key agar Annika ka dil toda toh Shivvay Singh Oberoi se bura aur koi nahi hoga", endorses that his mum better stop with her snide remarks as well. That was an indirect warning at Pinky because I think the man has had enough of seeing his wife being hung up and beaten like a rug by his mother.

Pinky seemed uneffected by these lines ..her expression was like.. i care a damn

she will continue to torture Anika atleast in ShIvaay's absence,
