Part 5

Time passed, it was long past evening. Rudra made his mind to not leave Saumya out of his eyesight and especially he was hell bent sure of not leaving that Royaan anywhere near his wife. He was constantly dictating many stuffs and she was typing all of them. He also would stop mid way and would ask her opinion. He made her speak. In the beginning he did it to make her come out of the uneasiness she had, but as she kept on saying quite innovative ideas, his shrewd business mind loved her replies and he was fondly waiting to her voice again as well as her useful ideas. He would keep staring at her while dictating, noticing her angelic face, its tempting features and what drove him crazy was that plumpy, luscious lips that was slightly pouting indicating that she was so engrossed in her work.

Rudra*mind voice*: Look at her. Oh, god I think she will never age. She is so beautiful. I think that this woman will be the death of me one day. Here am sitting besides her, wanting to kiss her, having wild fantasies yet she is there being so engrossed in work. Now I feel like throwing that damned laptop away as I want her attention on me. I want her to notice me, my love and how much I crave to hold her in my arms.

As if she heard his desperate thoughts she turned her head off the computer for the first time in many hours and look at him into his eyes. She noticed his intense gaze on her. She badly wanted to get lost into those dark brown orbs forever. Without knowing to her knowledge her cheeks became warm and there emerged some shades of light crimson. She immediately lowered her gaze and fixed them on the Macbook's screen and she continued to type. She also mentally scolded herself for being so less immune to him. She sighed and understood that she wasn't able to control her heart. She thought that she was completely over her feelings and even if she faced him she would walk past him with swag. Only now she understood that all the iron armored mental protection she had against him were not even suffice to his one single gaze on her.

After one extent they both were engrossed in work and by the time they finished their work it was about 11.00 p.m. in night. Rudra got up went and removed his blazers. Saumya who was stretching her hands after being completely exhausted from work saw him wearing only the black full hand shirt. It was perfectly tucked in his body. He looked like a muscular greek god. Saumya wondered how it is possible for him to still be sizzling amidst all his work pressure. Rudra too saw her. Their eyes met. They were staring at each other for a long time and they never felt to break the gaze. After few seconds or minutes or hours about what only they are aware of it was Saumya who broke the gaze and looked away from him. She felt embarrassed for her deeds. She quickly packed her belongings and was about to go that's when he interrupted.

Rudra: ek minute Saumya, mei files leke aa raha hun. Hum saath chalange

Sumya widened her eyes and looked at him thinking that he has gone crazy.

Saumya: nahi. Thank you sir. Mei Khud chali jaaungi.

She was about to open the door that's when he held her hands

Rudra: Dekho abh tumeh koi taxi nahi milega. Muje tera safety important hai. Samjhe? Haven't your University researches said about these increasing risks for women travelling alone at night?

Saumya knew that he had cornered her in way where she can't talk back. She just saw him with defeat evident in her eyes and his gleamed with triumph. She just nodded, both made their way to the car. He led her way. She was following him silently. The car came Rudra dismissed the chauffer opened the passenger door like a gentleman. She hoped in and he too boarded the car. It was Rudra who broke the silence.

Rudra: Mujse baath nahi karogi?

Saumya: Baath karne ko yahan kya hai sir?

Rudra: past theen salo mei teri life kaisa tha?

Saumya: I already said that I don't mix my personal and work life sir. I don't share stuffs.

Rudra: Abh hum office mei nahi hai, aur mai sirf tera boss nahi hu. Agar bhool gayi toh kya mei yaad dila saktha hun ki hamarey beech mei kya kya hai?

Saumya just looked at him with a fierce stare whereas he without minding them continued to drive.

Rudra: theek hai baba chod do. Mei uss sab ke bare mei kisi aur din baath karungi. Abh toh address bathaungi yaa us ko bhi silence he jawab hai? Hey if you really don't want to say it's alright mei tum eh hamara ghar leke jaaunga.

He finished the sentence with a sarcastic smile while she was burning with range. She just silently typed her address in the navigator and looked out of the window. The drive was silent. That is when her phone buzzed. Rudra was curious to see who was calling her at this time of night. As he peeked through his side eyes, her mobile screen flashed his name, he name he hated the most the moment he saw him touching his wife. It displayed REYAAN. As soon as he saw that name unknowing he accelerated the car at higher speed. Saumya just saw him as if he had gone lunatic.

Saumya just said: Control Rudra.

She said in a voice mixed with hesitation and fear. With those two words he calmed down and came back to the normal pace. She answered the called, he sharpened his ears and listened to the conversation with at most concentration as if it was some important business deal.

Sumya: haan bol Reyaan.

Reyaan: Kaha hai tu? Sab theek hai na?

Saumya: haan sab teek hai. Mei aa rahi hu office se. Kyu kya hua?

Reyaan: kuch nahi yaar. Bas aise hi just to ask if you have reached or not as you said that it colud be a possible all nighter. Waise bhi I feel sorry for you saumi. You have become the first prey of that Stone Singh Oberoi. He giggled at the other end.

Saumya too smiled at the way her friend said. She always smiled at the animated way he spoke. This even more infuriated Rudra.

Rudra*mind voice*: Already am irritated that this bun face is calling her this late in night and at the top of all this she is smiling. I badly need my protein shake to control my boiling right now.

Saumya: toh theek hai Reyaan. Mei phone rakthi hun. Kal dekhange baby.

This made Rudra to apply the brakes suddenly. BAABBYYY ? How dare she he thought mentally. Saumya was startled by the break before she could ask anything he himself answered.

Rudra: Tumhara ghar aa gaya.

Anger was evident in his voice. Saumya didn't know the reason for his mood swings and was confused. She quietly removed her seat belt, got down, whispered in a polite thank you and went in to her apartment. He kept staring at her retreating back hoping that she would turn back and glance at him for once but it was futile. He sighed,started his engine and drove away having mixed feelings.
