He was handling it, he was horrified to see her walking out to the door.
" I told you, I won't let you down. Don't you trust me??"
"I do, more than myself. But today is about Priyanka, I didn't want her to be humiliated today. I know about her. That you were being blackmailed..."
Again Team Shivika joined up despite their own troubles, and presented an united front. She found out he was being blackmailed about Prinku's pregnancy and decided to give Daksh what he wanted so he would stay away from Prinku.
Isn't it time, you trust her with your troubles, Shivaay? She found out so little and took steps to help you out. It's time. you silly man, she's a keeper. Never let her go. Never.
Episode:
Daksh acts out an elaborate drama about how Shivaay is the bad guy who wants to kill him. His sister is shocked as he pretends to be the innocent victim.
Shivaay in a deadpan, annoyed tone, "This drama is for whose benefit? What are you trying to prove?"
ACP is truly unaware of the situation he has stumbled upon. He thought he was the only big chaalaak (edited) , but there was an entirely bigger bomb about to explode here. His little teacup conspiracy is was smaller than the giant boiling kettle, screeching and blowing steam everywhere.
Shivaay loses his temper. Absolutely didn't care about Prinku's marriage anymore, quite prepared to throw every one of them out.
But pictures of Daksh and Annika get leaked out. He announces that he and Annika were engaged. His sister and nephew are clueless. They looked genuinely shocked.
But he paints it such that Shivaay stole Annika from him... [Well, he did, didn't heđ whatever the circumstances... they were already married when he found out D was psycho stalker.]
" He married Tia, but lives with Annika...he hasn't answered a single question of yours.. that's because she isn't his wife but his mistress..."
D spins a tale about how Shivaay beat him up and sent him to jail on false charges. And how Annika is a gold digger out to get a richer man. [pinky's face is really annoying, do they really have to focus on her reaction all the time, like a stone in the shoe...]
Shivaay loses it, and Tej and Shakti had to hold the chap back from going all kinds of crazy. Shakti seems to agree the fellow is a psycho also...đ [Go Daddy !!]
Shivaay really loses his composure and calm , but this battle for justice is not a fair one, in front of judges unworthy of judging them. It's a battle to appear virtuous in front of a mob of gawking strangers looking for sensational gossip.
Why should he justify ANYTHING to these people?? Who were they to judge who Annika was to him? Or who she was? What she meant to him?
But it is what it is... She lives with you in your house, in your bedroom, but you haven't accepted her as your wife. So she is your mistress !!
[what business is this to the press anyway? Tej openly flaunted his mistress in front of everyone and he gets away? Utter nonsense. I can see why SHivaay didn't feel the need to explain anything. It seems like he was just going to remain silent and ignore them all.]
But the insults kept coming. D insists he must say Annika is his mistress. While threatening Prinku's secret.
Shivaay stammers, with the great weight of Prinku's problem upon his head.
" Annika is my..."
Annika turns to leave. She can see that he is struggling with the decision to do the right thing. For his sister. He's thinking about her, Annika, instead. So she decided to leave so that this issue will be closed and Prinku's wedding will go on...
The stricken look on his face as he watched her slowly walk out towards the front door was such a sight. All Oberois except for Pinky are very upset that she is leaving. Even ACP looked surprised.
Daksh goes on and on about how she herself does not know her position in this house. and her leaving is an admission of guilt and shame.
Shivaay calls her to stop. She halts by the door but doesn't turn back to him. He is so done with this blackmailing. He decided to risk it, probably because he has some other arrangement with ACP.
His heart in his eyes, he explains.
"What is between Annika and me, is not any of your business. I don't see the need to explain anything to you lot. What Annika and I have, does not need any of your approval. Whatever it is , it is ours...
[was it another of their subtle codes, to tell what each other was going on? Felt like he was telling her to stop and let him handle this his way. It is true, though, the media does not deserve any of the rights to know about their personal lives. And this from a man, who was always worried about how the press could mess up his company stocks... how far Shivaay has come..]
" If people want to paint everything in an ugly color, and insist on looking at things that do not concern them and judge it with their disgusting point of view, then it becomes necessary to shut their dirty mouths."
"You all want to know, what Annika is to me?? Today I will tell you all, Annika is MY WIFE !! " tears glistening in his eyes, he announced this with pride.
[I tell you , the expression of pride and righteous anger in his face made me all emotional. He takes her name with pride and respect, and this is exactly what we ever wanted... For him NOT to be ashamed of their marriage]
Om, Prinku and Rudra are very proud and happy. Jhanvi is jubilant. Pinky looks like she was being told off also, 'toe the line, or else...".. ACP too is impressed.
Annika turns back, He said it??
"She's not just Annika. She is Annika Shivaay Singh Oberoi. MY WIFE. Today... in front of my whole family, and the press and before the WORLD, I accept .. that Annika is my wife !!"
[This announcement was as much for her as all these outsiders.The WORLD perhaps he means us , the fandom...đ ]
Don't you dare doubt me again Annika... that's what his face seemed to be saying to her. With a slight nod. Which she returns with a trembling smile.
" I married Annika. Laid witness by holy fires, we did out nuptial vows. I put my sindhoor on her forehead, she wears a mangalsutra in my name. "
[I believe all this has been mind blowing already, but this little bit next was what made all the tears come out for me..]
'She is not just my wife, she is my STRENGTH."
[This was what brought a smile to her face, finally. To be elevated to that position by him, was truly a moment to savour...]
" I will not tolerate anyone hurting her. I warn you, think 1000 times before you say anything about her. If Annika is hurt, I will be your worst enemy !!"
[Pinky can make all the ugly faces she wants. Team ShivIka just came out in the open, more united than ever. And the media wouldn't dare print any nonsense about her now.]
Finally, a thunderous welcome, with full respect and dignity, to the new Bahu of the Oberoi family.
A private conversation whispered in presence of every eyeball in the venue.
"I told you, I won't let you down, why were you leaving??" the hurt in his eyes was so touching.
" Didn't you trust me at all? "
"I trust you wholly. More than i do myself..." but she didn't want Prinku to face any trouble because of her.
Annika knows about Prinku's secret, and that Shivaay was being blackmailed.
"I never intended to push you to say those words, that I've been wanting to hear from you. Today was about Prinku, and the family's honour."
"You think I will stand quietly when you are being insulted? I told you, Your honour is my honour..."
And that was what Omkara and Rudra were so satisfied to hear, with pride. No one in the family can mistake it now.
Annika is Shivaay's wife, accept it or else.
Precap:
Daksh is about to reveal Prinku's secret, and ACP lands a punch on his uncle's face !!! He too will not stand for Prinku being insulted.
