Question about Tia's dad

Didn't Tia have a dad (the not dead kind)? I remember in one of the previous "almost marriage" tracks, Tia said that Shivay would get two votes (one from her dad and one from her mom) if he moved the wedding earlier. This was before they revealed the whole revenge against Oberois plot.
Wondering if this was just an oversight or something they addressed (and I missed)...

That wud mean... Her mom wud vote for both... Tia meant her dad has long ago bought stake... So her MO. Has voting power for herself n her dad... But it is all fake as tia isn't rich... It was a trap for shivaay
