Varun Dhawan: True fans never care about flings, affairs or relationships
Here is why Varun Dhawan won't open up about his relationship with Na
Varun Dhawan ha snot really opened up about his relationship with Natasha Dalal. The two are, reportedly, childhood sweethearts, and are going on strong since ever. A few days back the couple stepped out together, after the longest time, for Shahid Kapoor's birthday party. And fans went crazy. But Varun believes that "true fans" don't care about affairs. While talking to a news daily, the Badrinath Ki Dulhania actor struck a perfect balance between maintaining silence and also spilling the beans, while talking about his relationship.
Varun will be next seen in Dharma Productions' Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and after that sequel to Salman Khan's Judwaa and a dark film by Shoojit Sircar are in the pipeline. The actor wants everyone to focus on his career. "It might sound selfish, but I never want to shift the focus away from my career. Shouldn't people write all about my film right now? When I want people to know about my personal life, I will write an autobiography." he said in an interview with Mid Day. He further said that he and his audience have a "deep connection based on mutual respect."
He also says that he understands people want to know about his personal life, but he is not ready to share yet. "I also believe true fans never care about flings, affairs or relationships; they care about the star's body of work," he further said, contradicting himself. Varun also adds that he is okay with people writing about them if something dramatic like if he got punched by his girlfriend happens. But says that "using her to stay in news doesn't work,"
"The day I settle down, I will announce it to the world. I am proud of the special woman in my life and the world should know about her. I don't want to be in news for dating someone." he added. He also seems to have figured out the indicative of popularity as he adds, "Besides, I have learnt that gossip is not indicative of someone's popularity; box office figures are."
