Lets see how it goes. I too wish both Shorvori and Teni remain positive. I just hope that they don't show Teni falling for Parth so soon.

@bold, that's a good part actually. Rani's character in the movie was too plain and one dimensional (though Rani is a good actress). Shorvori is more real.

The family drama is OTT, especially Poyni and her antics. We definitely need spicy characters but Poyni is quite irritating.

I wish makers had shown surrogacy in a more realistic light and shown a drama around parents fears, family's expectations etc. instead of showing it as a time pressed decision

And I may differ from many on this point, but the character I get put off with the most is, Teni. Whenever she is on screen, I either fast forward the scene (if watching on internet) or mute her ( if watching on TV).

Her character is too tacky, loud and greedy. Despite the odds she faces, I fail to sympathise with her.

I liked Priety Zinta's character in CCC, she was cute in her own ways, but Teni is quite annoying. I hope her character gets lifted going further.

Finally, I love Parth Shorvori as a couple. They make a lovely pair together.

(Btw, its Rashmi if you don't recognize it from my username). I agree with you that the show needed time to settle, though by the time it has settled, a lot of story has already been told.

Yes, the family drama here is OTT, specially for BV viewers like us who were used to more subtle story telling.

The tone set by the show won't change, but I really hope they keep the family drama to the minimal, specially Poyni's same tricks which she keeps doing again and again!! There are other characters like Parth's Dadaji, his brother and sister-in-law which can be more interestingly woven in the story, IMO.

Parth-Shorvori do make a lovely pair. They are very much real, neither a perfect and ideal couple, nor like typical over the top TV couples who keep hating each others for years after marriage.

The problem with Teni's character is her accent which makes her look loud, to the dislike of a section of viewers. Till now we haven't seen emotional side of the character. It would be interesting to see how the character/actress rates in that aspect (saying this because I am seeing any show of Jasmin for the first time).

Coming to surrogacy, the whole thing was quite rushed. As some members previously said, they probably want to show darker side of surrogacy. The decision is taken hastily here by both the parties involved, lets see if the makers intend show the aftermaths of it!! There are quite a few possibilities in which way the story will proceed, depending upon at what stage the family will get to know about it, or if they never get to know about it.

It's so good to have you here...it's been long since we interacted!
I understand your view point regarding Teni. She isn't a type of character one could easily like or get used to but all the traits that you had mentioned were essential for this character. From very start, Teni is introduced as a loud person with low moral values. She is an absolute contrast from out lead couple and that's exactly what spices up their dynamics between them.
One of the reasons i took well to Teni was because of her unusual characteristics. Immoral, twisted ideas and loud behavior isn't considered the recipe for a lead character. Yet the makers of the show went ahead and did create such character and gave her a lead position. They gave us something different from what we generally see in lead positive characters. Somewhere behind her loud and tacky behavior, she has a touch of reality too. Her thoughts and selfish behavior gives us a clear views of the kind of life she led and what really made her become what she had become.
