This may sound absurd but here are my answers/analysis to this crazy change of guddi...
Why would guddi turn on atharv?
Guddi knew atharv would never be ok with her and chintu.
And he would convince her whole family to never accept chintu.
So keep him like baby atharv or drugged atharv is the only way to keep real atharv from spoiling her plan.
Why pretend to die?
She wanted her family to remember her as a happy good girl before dying.
Since they'd never accept chintu. It's easier to be dead and be with her true love.
Plus she got rid all the parent and sister supervision.
It was an easy way out cus she doesn't have to justify herself to anyone.
Why and how can guddi love chintu?
Eh the heart wants what it wants. She loved him and continues to no matter how he treats or treated her. Seems dumb to us but like I said the heart wants what it wants.
She realized that her mom was beaten by her hubby and stayed together so what's a few hits! Seems absurd right but many people are ok with domestic violence, I guess guddi is too.
Plus if daddy kailash was in on it, he wanted his daughter to get married to chintu cus it was his friend's family so he's happy too.

Technically if she was working for suman back then, guddi was probably told to pretend to be in love with ravish to convince vividha that she was in love with him. Pretending to love ravish was supposed to somehow make vividha jealous. In stories often jealousy is a way of recognizing you're falling for someone.
Ok that's it for my analysis. I'm not ok with all this. I'm just trying to understand guddi's character better so dug dug till my brain came up with an explanation. But cvs' are saving their butts by somehow turning a whole set of people totally evil!
