could someone please tell who shakti is and why shakti and taiji hate the family so much!!! i've just started watching this serial so i am a bit lost.

Shakti is teyji's daughter Krishna's husband. So he is teyji's Son-in-law. Noone knows that why he hate the family. Even family members don't no abt it.

Teyji mention it that she is widow & Kashineth made her that. It means KN killed her husband.
How come Kashineth Kill his bro.? I don't understand that lady? There is some wrong. KN didn't do anything like that. But it is not reveal that y she hate the family either.

As said Taiji is Kashinath's brother wife who died. Taiji blames Kashinath for his death. Shakti is Taiji's daughter husband. How did Taiji's husband died & why Shakti hates Kashinath & his family has not been revealed yet.
